There is a lot of great things to say about this hotel, especially bout the very friendly and efficient service and superb food. It has also an exquisite selection of local malt whiskies, and the wood décor in the restaurant and lounge is unique and very beautiful. I would have liked to have given this hotel 5 out of 5, if it wasn't for the room and facilities, which I believe were not worth the £80 per night I was charged.
Although the room was clean and quiet, it was very small, the (double) bed was too small for my needs, and so was the duvet. The bathroom was so small that there was no legroom for the toilet. I had to step over the toilet to get to the wash basin (trying to avoid the hot towel rail) and the shower cabin door only opened about 12", which gave me just enough space for a tight squeeze through.
I am not sure if the hotel has any bigger rooms, but I would check this out before booking, because otherwise this hotel comes highly recommended!More
