Nice revamp done here with great location if you are lucky enough to get a table with a sea view. Food was excellent, although a bit pricey, due to lack of local competition, restaurants do not need to have deals. Service was fine, although you tell the staff had worked a busy day, the signs of jading was obvious.
The serving of warm white wine was poor, explained by the lack of fridge space. We asked to have chilled bottle replacement and was told, it was not possible at £17 in your till, this is not acceptable. Therefore, a complaint was raised when the bill arrived, so the wine was deducted, so less profit for this restaurant.

Arrive on a sunny day, has been years since I stayed at this hotel, We were sitting outside having a drink having a look at the menu when someone from the kitchen threw a bucket of filthy water out of the kitchen door which maid its way towards a drain near our table. The Smell was not very pleasant so we went elsewhere to dine.

We went there twice while we stayed in Bowmore and we were not disappointed either time. The langoustines were superb and the other fish dishes were also good. They also do an excellent lasagne.

Visited here for lunch.
Three of us. Chose from the lunch menu fish and chips (2) soup and a sandwich (1).
Food nice and tasty. Washed down by a good red wine.

The menu range is peculiar, from gammon, egg and chips to a special of pan fried sea bass and scallops. I had very scrumptious langoustine tails to start followed by said sea bass, and couldn't fault any of it. Cooked right right, great flavour. Excellent all round. My husband had scallops with black pudding to start followed by fish and chips and found the scallops a bit rubbery, which seemed to have happened in order to crisp the outside, yet without satisfactorily crisping the outside. The batter on the fish was oily and soggy rather than crisp and light. So an utterly different experience for him. The restaurant has a very modern, almost try hard decor, but not every table is afforded the stunning view across the bay. We were fortunate in this regard, but if you want to be sure of a view it is worth booking and making the request.
