The Hebridean Huts are just perfect for a stay in the highlands. Our hut was small but perfectly formed, really well kitted out and so cosy against the winds from the Atlantic. Sadly ours was a flying visit, but I couldn't recommend them enough if you want to stay somewhere a little bit different.

“A wee hiden gem in the Outer Hebrides”
Reviewed 25 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Do not hesitate to book the huts, They have been carefully positioned with an uninterrupted view of the Atlantic Ocean. The owners have thought of everything to make them so luxurious and comfortable. There is everything you can possibly need for this type of break including very powerful binoculars. From the outside you would never believe that they have manage to fit in a full sized enclosed shower, toilet and sink. As well as a well equipped kitchen area and two very comfortable beds. There was a lovely welcome hamper which included a bottle of cava, shortbread, crisps and cake. There was also ample supplies of local toiletries. Then an added bonus with a small veranda where we enjoyed watching the seals. We were there during the controversial runaway oil rig and it was great that we managed to see a bit of history right before our eyes. You can actually lie in your bed and watch the sunset and sunrise which are absolutely stunning. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because the huts were advertised as being on an Alpaca farm and we were so looking forward to seeing the Alpaca's. However, the owners no longer had any Alpaca's which left us feeling a bit disappointed and felt this should have been mentioned. Otherwise a fantastic enjoyable mini break.

Set in a wonderful landscape the hut was warm, welcoming and altogether furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard - nothing had been left out. A very peaceful location surrounded by sheep with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean. An ideal place to relax and unwind. Thoroughly recommend it.

“Excellent break from the world”
Reviewed 17 September 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The location of the huts is really special - right on the beach, with only a herd of black sheep for company. The sunsets are gorgeous, the wind and sea are violent at times, but then that's part of the beauty of Hebrides.
The huts themselves were spotless, modern, warm and welcoming. We very much enjoyed the welcome basket of treats with a good hot cup of tea. The small kitchenette is fairly well equipped, including a toaster that will cook your eggs in the morning :) There is also wireless and TV in the hut if you do need a technology fix every once in a while. We stayed for 2 nights and it was really great - definitely the best 'glamping' we have ever done! Thank you!

“Peaceful, Relaxing Stay with Beautiful View”
Reviewed 17 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Booked this hut for a surprise break for my partner's birthday. Such a comfortable stay in a really well equipped hut. Also booked the bbq hut, also very well equipped. I had brought quite a lot of items in preparation for the bbq but didn't need skewers, ketchup, any tools, paper towel etc as it was all just ready for us.
The view from the hut was amazing - so relaxing - just what we both needed. A very high standard of accommodation, would definitely stay again.
The only point to note - bbq so enjoyable but you do end up smelling somewhat - make sure you have a change of clothes for afterwards!!

Perfect location for us. The hut was very quiet, in a bucolic setting, and perfectly equipped. We loved the sheep wandering by the windows, and the wind off the ocean. We truly felt that the hosts had thought of everything-including coasters on the bedside window so we could sit up in bed and drink our coffee and gaze at the great setting!

“Hebridean 'hit'”
Reviewed 17 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

A first visit to the Hebridean islands, booked and travelled to with little more than a glance at a map to check out a route and a brief gawp at seductive images of crashing waves and silver sands. It was booked two months in advance after a very quick trip advisor search of accommodation available at the time we wanted to travel. There really wasn't a great selection of places to stay. Initially, we'd wanted to be based in Harris, but when Hebridean huts came up as an option we were completely seduced by images of the hut in isolation, juxtaposed with the foamy spray of the Atlantic sea.
Secondary to the initial seduction were images of the cosy cabin interior, complete with its spotlessly clean, bathroom...impeccably lit, this wooden idyll had to be ours for our four day stay.

On our arrival, I could feel excitement well up (not at all like me... I don't usually do 'excited'). The current encampment of two 'resident' huts share a field with a small herd of beautiful black sheep, and in adjacent fields are the bookable barbecue hut, and gaggle of cud chewing, curious alpacas.

After traveling through 'desert - like' expanses of moorland and quiet villages of detached houses and crofts we weren't sure what to expect, though the situation of our accommodation was perfect.

Isolated enough to feel like we had total privacy but close enough to Owners Iain and Anne if we really needed them.

We only needed them once and that was to sort out booking of the Bbq hut. An enquiry made over the Internet via an impressive wifi connection. No fiddling with passwords required.

Iain and Anne, it seems have thought of everything - from every dish and cutlery item you might need to a toaster that also cooks baked beans and boiled eggs. Even the microwave oven has combined functions.

The cabin style beds were comfortable with alpaca fleece filled duvets (hypoallergenic) provided additional warmth during the night when required. I hasten to add that the cabin must be very well insulated. We only had to give the heating a little blast on only a couple of occasions.

For me, blackout blinds were an absolute godsend. Staying light outside until almost midnight and sunrise only a few hours later meant that I could sleep undisturbed.

Being so far north, and having to function in a small cabin were my only concerns prior to our arrival. In reality, they offered us the opportunity to see more of the island and gave us proof that we don't need a lot of things or space to operate and meet our daily needs.

Peripheral but very well received additions were the BBQ hut, the hamper of treats on arrival.

All in all, our stay was magical in a 'keeping my life simple' but not compromising on the luxuries we are used to.

If you like simplicity, seclusion and being close to nature, Hebridean huts are brilliant!
