We came here as it was recommended in the accommodation booklets provided to us while on holiday. I have to say on first impressions the place is lovely and the gentleman who greeted and seated us on arrival was lovely. We were told this is one of the best places to eat in Lewis and were very excited at the prospect of dinner. Don't get me wrong, the food wasn't awful, but it wasn't up to the standards portrayed or the prices. I had steak, which was average to below average and my dessert was a mismatch of flavours that just didn't work. The soup to start was ok but nothing to write home about. My husband and I both agreed that this is a lovely place with great staff but greatly let down by mediocre food when it promises so much more. 4-5* for decor and service but as the food was the reason we went it has to be 3* I'm afraid.
