“Look out for the seals”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

Stornoway is a busy little harbour with fishing boats, pleasure craft and the CalMac ferry. Worth visiting to see the group of seals swimming around the fish market. They will come up close to you and will even take fish scraps from your hand.

“Very avarage”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

just one restaurant next to the harbour, always full, table booking essential, they do not serve food all day (in all of Stornoway be prepared you won't get anything to eat between app. 2:30-5), not much to see...

“working harbour”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

it is nice to have a walk round the harbour. this is a working harbour and has quite a lot of security gates and fences now.
nice to see such a variety of boats in the harbour ranging through from small yachts to fishing boats, to ferries, cargo boats, oil tankers and today even two cruise ships.

“Don't go on a Sunday!”
Reviewed 2 July 2013

EVERYTHING is shut on Sunday! We did wander around on a weekday before our ferry left and enjoyed what we saw especially walking our dog around the grounds of the Castle.

I liked meeting the local people in the Fishermens' Cooperative fish shop and other shops. Very friendly.
