#this is not called St Columba 's Chapel - it is called Ui Chapel
pronounced Eye Chapel - not as titled here. As I stay In Stornoway
I just could nt figure out where this place was but well worth a visit it is partially renovated
now and has a roof on part of it - I believe a book has been written by a local person on the
history and renovation of this Chapel, the cemetry at the chapel is also very interesting.

“Great Views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2013 via mobile

Was in Stornoway and had heard about this place so jumped on the bus which takes 10 mins from the town centre. Just be careful- they seem to run early if they feel.like it so make sure you're at the stop in plenty of time!
The chapel itself is a ruin but still standing- there is plenty of information provided on boards. You are, however, not allowed in the ruin itself which is a shame.
But what is even better is the beach on either side of the road- the views and sands are spectacular!
