Lovely host, excellent breakfast it was all just as the website said it would be. Level walk to the centre of Stornaway overlooking the sea. Our host was very helpful about the local area and gave us some good tips

We stayed here for a weekend. The hostess was very friendly and very accommodating. The room was a good size, the bed very comfortable, the room was spotless and the shower was great. The view we had from the room across the harbour was beautiful. The breakfast was also fantastic. The location is 5mins walk from the centre but it is a nice stroll along the water front. I would definitely recommend.

Never thought I'd visit Stornoway again but work commitment brought me back and without hesitation I stayed at Number Twenty Seven again. The atmosphere, hostess (Margo) and her family made the stay enjoyable. Always chatty and helpful and even got up to make my breakfast before the ferry sailed. Thanks again for a wonderful stay -Kindest regards Stewart

Room Tip: The front rooms have wonderful views over the harbour.

We stayed at No 27 at the end of our cycling holiday through the Outer Hebrides. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, with an excellent shower - a godsend after getting totally soaked on a trip out to the Butt of Lewis! But we left shoes with Margo to dry and I think they got forgotten as they weren't much drier the next morning. Margo was friendly and helpful in recommending places to eat. Breakfast was fine but unexceptional and not as good as some of the truly excellent breakfasts we had in other b and b's en route. I don't want to be churlish and certainly wouldn't be unhappy to stay again, but the standards we experienced throughout the isles were so high that I can't give this place a top mark.

Just about to leave for the ferry, will be sorry to leave! Stayed at Stornaway, due to work, for 5 days, and must say that Margo made the stay enjoyable with her friendly chat and local knowledge of the Island. The hotel is situated perfectly for views over the harbour and within 5 minutes walking distance of the town centre. It is clean, welcoming, bright and caters for all needs and is certainly "value for money". The breakfasts are fantastic and keep you going all day !! Lovely welcome, lovely family and a lovely smile. Wouldn't choose anywhere else when I return.Stewart

Good b&b, within walking distance of the centre, with harbour views from our room. friendly hostess and lots of choice for breakfast. This served as a great base for our trip to Lewis and Harris We very much enjoyed our stay and would return if back in the outer Hebrides!

Twenty Seven is run by Margo, a hard working Mother of 2 who makes it all seem easy. She makes you feel very welcome in her home and always has a bright smile and a happy conversation.
Breakfasts are cheery affairs, the food is delicious and from the comfortable dining room you can see the ferries sail by. Margo is always wishing to please and looking for ways to make your stay even better. She was kind enough to allow us to use her washing machine because laundrettes had been non-existent for our holiday in Scotland to that point.
Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Also, Twenty-Seven is a short walk to all that the town of Stornoway has to offer.
We stayed 3 nights and could very easily have stayed longer. But, unfortunately, we didn't have the time. Thank you Margo. Hope to see you again.
