Bungalow very comfortable and well equipped and good for Stornaway and Lewis. Nice quiet spot within sight of sea.
This is the second time we have stayed at Aite Beathag and this visit was as lovely as before. The cottage is lovely with a well appointed kitchen and utility room. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, with good quality bedding and towels. The furniture is of good quality and the layout makes the most of the view. Every moment provides a beautiful visa and the cottage was ideally suited as a Base to explore. About 100yds away is a beach that feels like it belongs to you only and the area is lovely and quiet.
We'll definitely want to return again - thank you again to Tracey for making everything so easy and enabling us to have a brilliant holiday!
This wonderfully comfortable and welcoming home is situated in an amazingly beautiful setting, complete with open access to a beach not 100 yards from the front door that has resident seals to enjoy! Perfect!
The home is well equipped, comfortable and warm and is like a home away from home.Tracey is a caring host who's responsive to questions and provides great information.
There are fantastic walks to take from Aite Beathag all around Aignish and Point in what is a superb part of the world. Point Community Centre shop and cafe is a short walk from the home and there you'll find great coffee, cakes and all the supplies you might need with the bonus of a warm welcome from the friendly community staff. There's also a good bus service to Stornoway within a short walk.
All up, this home is everything you can want from a holiday let, plus more. The views, the light & airiness of the place and the welcoming feel are second to none. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Aite Beathag to anyone looking to stay on Lewis.
Fantastic holiday in February. The house was cosy even with 75mph winds one night. Kitchen well equipped. House modern, spacious, comfortable and very clean. Literally 2 minutes from the beach where the seals will come very close in to get a good look at you. Close enough to Stornoway to be able to enjoy a takeaway still hot or get a taxi home.
What a fantastic find this was.
The house is beautiful and is fully stocked with everything you could
Possibly need (even hot water bottles) not that they were needed as we had brilliant weather and the house was really warm and cosy in the evenings.
This was a late booking and the owner was excellent. Even at 8.30pm when it was pitch black and we could not find the house, we called her and asked for directions. Nothing was too much trouble.
The house was spotless and built on a beautiful spot overlooking the bay. The beach is only minutes walk from the house.
Would we stay here again - absolutely as we loved everything about this house and location.
Aite Beathag is a real home from home. Comfortable, spacious and airy, we relaxed as soon as we stepped through the door. It's private location made the views from the windows even more special. The sunsets, seals, birds and a basking shark were some of the views to fill our minds. We loved it!
Our only minor issues were the location and lack of garden/outdoor seating area. Most of the tourist areas are on the west coast so we spent a lot of time travelling. Also, there is area for a garden, which is currently full of natural flora, but no garden there. With 2 young and energetic boys, there was minimal room for them to run and after all the travelling, they needed to run.
