We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the Hebridian Islands. The room was very clean and the bed was comfy with nice quality bedding. The en-suite shower room had an electric shower, which is important as we had a couple of problems with thermostatic showers on our tour! Breakfast was very good with a good choice of cereals, cooked breakfast and tea/coffee & toast. There was a lounge room for guests to use and was comfy with nice views. If you travel here out of season, there are not may places to have an evening meal, so plan your visit in advance. We ended up with a cup-a-soup and a bag of crisps as the local hotels/pubs were closed.

Ardachy House Hotel, a few miles from Bunessan, was a good location for our planned boat trip to the Treshnish Isles from Fionnphort. Our south-facing twin room gave onto a wonderful view of the islands and, in the far south-west, Donegal. The room was clean and compact, with good use made of the available space. After a stroll on the broad sandy beach nearby, we spent a quiet evening in the guest lounge with access to games and a great selection of books, as well as that wonderful view. The full Scottish breakfast of locally-produced foods was very good. The owner made sandwiches for our boat trip, using his own freshly-baked bread and Isle of Mull cheddar: when we told him they were delicious, he made more the next day, and didn't charge for them!

We travelled from Devon on a recent trip to Mull. The hotel is in a beautiful part of the island and very remote. Very poor phone signal which was a bonus. We were welcomed by a very enthusiastic owner and made to feel very welcome. We had travelled a long way and were fed a basic but filling meal and had a funny moment with the wine list where nothing was available! That was part of the charm when you are miles from civilisation in stunning countryside and a few minutes walk from a deserted beach. It was so quiet and peaceful we had the best nights sleep for a long time. We hope to visit again.

You'll love Ardachy House. A little remote but easy to find, very comfortable, stunning views, very friendly and great food. It is in a remote location I had no phone signal but other guests on 02 said they had a signal. Bunessan just 2 miles away is another beautiful location with a selection of shops and Bar/Restaurant.

Room Tip: All rooms quiet. We had the room 3 a twin, the Jura room views are superb.

Despite not having pre-ordered dinner, the owner went out of his way to feed and look after us weary cyclers, which was an incredibly helpful gesture. The hotel and location are fantastic and I would highly recommend staying there. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast of cereal, porridge, toast and full cooked scottish was superb - stornoway black pudding a highlight!

Welcomed in Car Park by owner who was very nice. Guided personally to room. Spotlessly clean and welcoming but a few issues that if sorted could make this place unmissable!
Location great if your heading to Iona as short distance in car.
No TV's anywhere. Not a problem for some but in a stormy night like ours it would have been a comfort.
No hot water in morning. Washing in cold water in this environment isn't good.
Neither myself or partner big breakfast eaters so asked for bacon and egg instead of "the works" and that's exactly what we got. 1 rasher of bacon and 1 egg.
Lastly, and a big one for us was that we couldn't secure the room. There were no keys or locks. Very trusting but I'm not when the hotel is full of strangers. Other than that - please visit.

We followed the two mile drive up a very narrow road from the main road only to be told when we got to the house that they were not open. There is a Scotish Tourist Office sign advertising this B&B at the main road which needs a ""no vacancies" hanger on it. I realise that B&B's are not 24/7 but spare a thought for the weary traveller!

I'm ever so sorry for the inconvenience, I recently took over Ardachy House Hotel and we were unfortunately not ready to be open when you visited. However, we are now fully up and running and really hope you have not been discouraged to visit back in the future - we look forward to welcoming you again! Many thanks, Tony Francis
