We spent a week in Torness cottage which was relaxing, quiet and well-placed for exploring Tobermory and the wider Isle of Mull. The huge picture window opens onto a mature well-maintained garden giving you the sense of privacy and verdure you want in a self-catering rental and we found there was everything we needed to give us the option of spending quality time in and catering for ourselves when required. The bungalow is situated near the top of a very steep hill up from Tobermory, which adds to its charm and seclusion but which constitutes a pedestrian challenge for the less mobile, but there's a good free car park at the south end of Tobermory Bay which makes use of the car (which you need anyway to get to Mull!) easy. Alo bring a supply of pound coins for the electricity meter.
Wonderful, bright and spacious cottage with everything you need for a relaxing week's stay in beautiful Tobermory. Sunny garden with patio furniture, huge bedroom with a large en-suite with bath and shower, kitchen well equipped. Cottage was immaculate. Also a separate toilet and shower room. Good wifi.
Location is great, a 2 minute walk from the golf club, nice views on walk downhill into the village. (A ten minute uphill walk from the village back to the house). Lots of cafes and eating places in Tobermory, but it was great to come back to the cottage after a day out and have dinner there (good Co-op, Chinese and Indian takeaways in village).
Would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage. Also Staffa Tours from Tobermory to Lunga and Staffa not to be missed, so many puffins just a few feet away from us on Lunga!
Thank you for providing a home from home in Tobermory Christine.
Great place to stay in Tobermory, clean spacious and comfortable.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage as an ideal place to stay if visiting the isle of Mull
