“Change the way you look at nature”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

We signed up for the "Beaches, Birds and Butterflies Walk" largely because I raise butterflies as a hobby. Stuart and Ruth met us at our B&B and off we drove to our adventure on a beautiful Mull morning. The walk was at an easy pace with no physically challenging terrain to overcome. At the time my wife was experiencing some health issues that limited her strength and endurance. She had no problems keeping up the whole walk which turned out the be about seven hours. I believe normally the walks do not last as long, but we kept discovering new things that held our attention for more time than our guides had scheduled. Nonetheless our little group of four clients plus the guides never grew bored with the experience. Early in the walk we discovered a brand new colony of the Slender Scotch Burnet moths. At one point we were in a field of moths that were so plentiful we had to walk very very carefully to avoid stepping on them. We ate a delicious home made lunch on a beautiful little beach and I cannot leave out the great array of birds we encountered. As the day went on we found ourselves learning to carefully observe everything around us for subtle signs of the abundant living creatures in those Mull fields. I chuckled at the sight of a group of middle aged adults crawling around on their hands and knees, face down in the grass looking for moths. We will be back to Mull and we will eventually take every walk and tour Mull Magic offers.

“It is magic!”

Stunning scenery, flora & fauna, fantastic weather, good company and knowledgeable & engaging guides. What more could you want from a day out on Mull

Thanks to Ruth and Stuart for a cracking day and for reminding us to take a closer look at what we are walking past and through (even the lichens) and not just focusing on where we are heading

“Fantastic day out with great hosts.”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Another super day out with Mull Magic on the Beaches, butterflies and birds walk. The weather was superb for our full day out. We strolled through the woodland down towards near deserted beaches. Stuart and Ruth are great and knowledgeable hosts pointing out all things of interest In the flora and fauna department. We had one of Ruth's super homemade picnic lunches consisting of soup, rolls and homemade cakes on the beach enjoying the sunshine and terrific view. This was not our 1st trip to Mull or our 1st walk with Mull Magic as we had previously done the Otter Walk and the Eagle Walk last year and had thoroughly enjoyed both of those. We are looking forward to returning to Mull and doing more walks in the near future. These walks are ideal to get close to nature, out of your vehicle and experiencing what Mull has to offer without the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

“Great Day Out”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Went on the Eagle Walk last year and enjoyed it so much that booked to go on the Wilderness Walk on this year's visit to Mull. Very enjoyable, lots of wildlife to see and plenty of other points of interest. Had to change my plans at short notice due to personal circumstances & Ruth and Stuart couldn't have been more helpful and understanding, thank you.

“Great Time”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Had a lovely day with Ruth and Stuart on the Otter Detective walk. The sun shone, the sea glittered and Ruth and Stuart fed us with interesting facts about all the Mull wildlife we were seeing, as well as our stomachs with delicious food for lunch. Great end to our first holiday on the beautiful island of Mull.
