“An ok place for an Indian craving”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

The restaurant is a bit weird as it is located on 3 floors, the "eating hall" being on the third one. At first, it looks like a take-away place... which it also is actually.
The restaurant in itself lacks character. It can be described as cold, if you are prone to judge the visual environnement or the staff's behaviour.
The food was rather good. Scrumptious starters (veggie pakora) and nan breads. The main course was rather OK, but could have been tastier.
The bill was surprisingly more expensive than expected.

“Flavoursome Food”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Visited whilst holidaying on the island. As an extended family of 9 we had an evening meal here. Everyone really enjoyed the food, it was really tasty and not too spicy for the younger ones. The rice was cooked just right and the nan bread was perfect.
We were a little disappointed with the choice of pickles to go with the nan - only Mango and Onion, no lime pickle or raita.
The bill was a bit of a shock at over £150 (1 poppadum each, 1 main meal each, 3 rice, 1 nan and 1 sag aloo, 1 bottle of wine, 1 bottle of cobra and 5 cokes).
Still would recommend but check the pricing.

“Yummy!”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

Not much to look at, so don't be disappointed from the outside, as once inside very clean, friendly and lovely food. Husband said best indian he has had, and we eat a lot if indian food. Not the cheapest but then this cuisine tends to be more expensive. We has onion bhajis, rice, Bombay potatoes, dopiaza and chilli garlic chicken plus garlic naan and drinks, all very good.

“Bog standard Indian food.”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

We had a reasonable meal here - but not brilliant. We are both vegetarians, and from Yorkshire where there is a high standard of Indian food with good fresh vegetables. The vegetable curries here appeared to include standard frozen veg (cubed carrots, sweetcorn peas and beans) which was a little disappointing. But friendly service, a good view and nice poppadums. And not expensive.

“Pricey for what you get”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

We found the portions to be small, 4 pieces of pakora as a starter. The main courses came with a lot of sauce and only a little meat. Tasty enough but at £70 for 2 was nor really value for money.
