“great location to explore Skye”
Reviewed 2 June 2015 for a stay in April 2015

On arrival met the owner Ian who was really helpful about the cottage and places to visit/eat etc ( his recommendation of Red Skye was put to excellent use).
The location is peaceful with views to see and the mountains but handy for food shopping at the large Coop in Broadford.
The cottage itself was very spacious and clean. There is outside seating for when the weather is fine and a BBQ which we didn't use as although we were lucky with the weather.
Sky TV and wifi is a bonus.
The only thing we could come up with as liking least was the size of the bath towels - which although very plentiful they are a bit on the small size.

“Most excellent!”
Reviewed 28 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My wife and I stayed for a week at Ardmore from 16th May 2015. We love returning to Skye every two to three years and it is very true what they say that once you have been you keep coming back, it is a truly magical place.
Ardmore Cottage is also in that category and one cannot find fault with it at all. I was impressed that Ian (the owner) took the time out to take us to the cottage and explain in detail all the workings of his lovely cottage. He was obviously very proud of what he had achieved at Ardmore and quite rightly so. It is in a beautiful position with gorgeous views 360 degrees, the walk up the little lane which we only discovered on our last day is well worth the effort. The standards of cleanliness are second to none and there is everything that you need for your stay. Another advantage is having the Claymore restaurant within a two minute walk (you must pay Kim a visit) and all the facilities that you need such as the Co-op and petrol station only a few minutes drive away.
All in all a lovely holiday cottage maintained to a 5 star standard in a fantastic setting! I mean what more do you want!

Robert

“Absolutely stunning”
Reviewed 3 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Ardmore cottage, Ian and Anne the owners and the stunning surroundings all made this the best self catering short break ever. They have thought of everything. It is a definate home from home. I wish it was our home! Everything you could ever need and then some. Stunning decor, smart tv in the lounge with tvs in every room, wifi throughout even in the garden, ipod docs in every room. They have visitors book going back 10 years and not one bad review. Amazing. We will definately be back and we will be recommending it to all our friends and family. This house is disabled and buggy friendly with everything for everyone of all ages.

From the initial contact and booking to arriving on the first day of the holiday Ian was really helpful and Ardmore exceeded our expectations. The standard of the property and the small touches like the welcome pack and iPod docks are certainly above the norm as were the beautiful paintings which led us to buy one to take home. This has been a excellent base to explore Skye from with good eating places and activities on the door step. We would have no hesitation to recommending Ardmore to our friends and family and hope to return sometime soon.

“The only place to stay on Skye - truly 5 star accommodation”
Reviewed 14 October 2014 for a stay in March 2014

What a truly remarkable bungalow to use as a base for touring around the Isle of Skye and Wester Ross. We have stayed with Ian and Anne several times and the welcome has always been really warm - a bit like meeting old friends. Ardmore Cottage is a superb property, spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. The beds are so comfortable, the location so quiet, that you can't fail to get a good night's sleep. We always feel so relaxed and at home here and it is a perfect retreat to come back to after a day spent walking or touring the area.
The cottage is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with views over Broadford Bay and is within easy walking distance of the local pub and restaurant. Ian is very knowledgeable about the area - walks, pubs, shops, places of interest and restaurants.
We certainly love staying here and hopefully we will be back again next year.

“Fantastic house! Exceeded expectations!”
Reviewed 29 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

A fantastic house for our stay on Skye. It exceeded our expectations and we couldn't fault anything about it. We would definitely recommend it. We travelled with two one year old children and there was so much space for them to play, for travel cots and lots of baby/toddler belongings! Ian was very pleasant and helpful. Would love to return again in the future.
