What a great situation with a lovely expansive view out to the inner Skye islands and the Cuillin mountains. House was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Main lounge was perfect for enjoying the view. Close to Broadford for all groceries and essentials.

“Didn't want to come home!!”
Reviewed 7 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Ashaig House is a home from home - cosy, comfortable and well equipped and it was a lovely surprise to be welcomed with a bottle of wine. We especially liked the fantastic view from the lounge window - and spotted seals on the rocks of the many little islands! It is in the best location for visiting all of Skye and you have the beach on your doorstep. We had not been to Skye for many years and we were absolutely delighted to find the Co-op has certainly upped their game so there is no need now to take so many provisions. One tip: if you want to visit the Red Skye Restaurant it may be better to book before you go.

“Magical mystical Skye!”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Wonderful holiday in Skye staying in Ashaig House which was perfect. The views are amazing with a lovely little beach on your doorstep (beware of the tide though!). The kids loved it, although we got bored of listening to the same piano songs over and over! Fantastic place, would go back.

“Beautiful view, very central to Skye activities”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

As a family of six, with four children aged 21, 20, 17 and 13 we started our 10 day family vacation here for 3 nights. The home felt just like a beach house here in the US. Very comfortable with a great view. The location was also very central to all of Skye. Everyone had their own bed, and with 3 bathrooms, it made getting going in the morning much easier. If we are ever to make this trip again, which I hope we are, I will check to see if this home is available.

“WOW! That view.....speechless”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Just back from this property after a 2 week stay, in really pretty mixed weather conditions, and just feel really chilled. It was perfect for us.
I always stress that a place will be right for us as our daughter is a young adult with mental health problems and we have a young small dog who likes to be heard. So many things can go wrong!
This was perfect.

Only minutes from the Skye Bridge, about 5-10 minute along to Broadford for all your supplies and various restaurants, banks, etc, and about 30 mins to Plockton

From the moment we drove into the drive the view hit us and was like a constantly changing panorama throughout each day to sunset. Sun, wind, rain, it didn't matter, it's one of those views you could sit and watch for the rest of your life and never tire of. Open the bedroom curtains in the morning and there it is, that’s if you ever shut them, the sunsets are beautiful.

It’s so quiet, apart from all the birds, Cuckoo’s, Reed Warblers, Gold Finch etc etc, and a handy pair of binoculars provided if you want a closer look.

Huge garden, with a stone bench and picnic table, so plenty of room for our dog to have an absolute ball racing around everyday. Lots of places to stretch your legs, or you could take a potter down to the beach, although if it’s been raining you will probably have difficulty getting through the steam to it as the stream bed is very loose. Don’t forget your wellies!

The three bedrooms are compact but make a good use of the space and the beds are all very comfortable. The house, garden and downstairs bedroom and bathroom are all on a level and make the place ideal for the less mobile.

Very comfortable furnishings and the extra lounge is great for 5 minutes peace.

The kitchen is very dated but it is clean and has everything you could possibly need including a dishwasher and washing machine.

Lastly, whislt it’s not always the first priority when you are looking for accommodation, for us, the superfast internet connection was the icing on the cake for our daughter and helped provide the most restful break in a long time.

John, the owner, was very helpful and happy to answer all my email enquires prior to booking.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
