Braeholm Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #19 of 26 Broadford B&B and Inns
Reviewed 6 September 2009

We recently spent four nights B&B at Braeholm. Everything was excellent. The bed was comfy and the breakfast very very good. Breakfast had 4 different options - I tried 3 and they were all excellent.

Tony and Kirsten are great hosts - excellent hospitality and nothing was too much trouble. Young Findlay was a charming little fellow.

On our tour of Scotland, we stayed at 5 different B&Bs - this was definitely the best. As a grumpy old man who can always find something to complain about, I couldn't fault it.

The Braeholm B&B is situated in a great location for exploring the wonderful Isle of Skye.
Tony, Kirsten and wee Findlay are fantastic hosts. They are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We were welcomed with home made tablet on our arrival and home made scones and fruit loaf on our second day. The hearty full Scottish breakfast is fabulous with home made bread and it really sets you up for the rest of the day. If your looking for a friendly and cosy B&B in the Harrapool / Broadford area then the Braeholm will not disappoint.

After spending a miserable night in our tent we decided to find a B&B for our last night on Skye. By luck Kirsten and Tony had just arrived home from a break and were able to provide us with a lovely clean room for the night (including shortbread on arrival!) with ensuite shower room. A list of restaurants in the area was also provided but the local chippie was perfect for us! Breakfast the next morning was delicious - full breakfast and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs were our choices but there were other options. Fruit juice and a variety of cereals were also provided. I would highly recommend this B&B - clean, comfortable rooms, warm and welcoming hosts (including their little boy!) and a delicious breakfast.

Went to Skye for 3 days. Tony Kirsten & little Finlay a lovely family and great hosts. The room very clean, spacious and very comfortable . We were greeted by Tony who showed us to our room and then brought us shortbread . The room looked out over Broadord bay. While there we had two great sunsets. The breakfasts were fantastic, great choice the scambled egg and smoked salmon very good as was the full english but the choice of cereal fresh fruit (very yummy) and yogurt outstanding. The tea & coffee making facilities had a great choice and had biscuits and chocolate bars.Although near the road you could not hear the noise of the traffic. We will look forward to coming to Skye again a really beautiful island and staying at the Braeholm.Well done Tony & Kirsten.

Staying at Braehold was the highlight of our trip! Tony and Kerstin were wonderful, welcoming hosts - the family room we stayed in was spotless, modern and very comfortable, the shortbread and breakfasts were amazing, and both Tony and Kerstin were always available with thoughtful ideas and answers to our questions. I traveled with my mom and sister, and if I could have planned this trip again we would have planned to stay longer to enjoy the peaceful surrounding and accomodation (easy walk to great restaurants and right across from the water, plus very convenient to the rest of the Isle of Skye and the mainland). This is exactly how a B&B stay should be!

Just stayed 3 nights at Braeholm - had a great time thanks to our hosts, Tony, Kirsten and baby, Finlay. We got a wonderful welcome from our hosts. We had homemade shortbread in our room - which you get on a daily basis - on our last day we got homemade tablet - wonderful. The breakfasts were great with lovely homemade bread. The room was very spacious, tastefully furnished, clean, great shower and wonderful view - what more could you ask for. We got lots of information on walks and things to do on Skye. We will certainly be back there again soon. We even had some decent weather!

With apologies to Tony, Kirsten and wee Findlay Robert, we are a year late posting a review on Braeholm B&B, but our great memories linger and it's time we posted a review!

We spent a week in the Highlands and like anyone we had a lot of questions on our itinerary prior to leaving. Tony was so helpful in responding to our emails, answering many questions about the area and our proposed plans for our two days on Skye, and and assuring us that our plans would work out. When we finally "landed" for the evening after a long day exploring Skye, we were greeted with marvelous enthusiasm by our new friends Tony and Kirsten. Our room was perfect, spotless and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! Tony dealt with several rowdy guests appropriately and professionally. All in all, we highly recommend Braeholm to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable room, hosts who truly care about your comfort, and a breakfast to last you all day!
