Three Chimneys is in a beautiful location. We stayed in the hotel for two nights and ate at the restaurant on the first night. We had high expectations based on its price and reputation. We went for the three course dinner menu but it didn't leave much of an impression. It was all very average. Ok but not worth the money. The service was very friendly in the hotel and restaurant, but not always very efficient. They also didn't have our first two choices of wine from the menu so we kept having to reselect! Over all it was disappointing and I wouldn't return. I was pleased we weren't eating in the restaurant both nights. We had a much nicer meal with better service in the Old School House in Dunvegan.

Came here with high expectations as everyone said it is one of the best restaurants in the Skye. However, I’ve never been so disappointed to the extent that I have to leave a comment here. First, the service was slow. The head waiter who took the order paid no genuine attention, and I guess that’s why our orders were repeatedly mixed up. Not every dish was presented with elaboration. When we asked for the bill, that same waiter just dropped the bill at our table and left immediately. Throughout the meal, we felt totally unwelcomed - why such arrogance and contempt? The food was alright, but if I have to tolerate this kind of attitude to dine here again, it’s not worth it at all. Only the other waitress who served us was more helpful. Go elsewhere, Kinloch Lodge served much better in all aspects!

Naturally, it is very disappointing to receive a review like this. We have made an attempt to contact you direct, but to no avail. We offer you the further opportunity to contact our General Manager, at The Three Chimneys at any time to discuss this experience, which, as mentioned in the message to you, is most unlike our expected standards. All contact details are freely available on our website.

This is a must. Bedrooms exquisite. Food exceptional. Staff helpful and beyond. Arrived tired on Saturday afternoon and met with a smile, tea and cake. Tasting menu and wine flight best ever. Well chosen and both supplemented each other. Nothing was to much. High quality and unpretentious. Gordon in the bar was kind, professional all done in a pleasant manner. Than you. Enjoy!

We are very pleased you enjoyed your visit to our far-flung corner of Skye and that it was worth the journey! Also delighted you selected the Tasting Menu and Wine Flight for dinner which provides a delicious range of local food with wines to match each course. Thank you for your very kind compliments all-round.

A light six course tasting menu the land and sea menu centres around a selection of seafood. Beautiful home made breads with flavoured and smoked butter helped make this meal a little more filling as portions were certainly nouveau cuisine sized.

Great meal with local produce. Get the wine flight if you're having the tasting menu . Simple, tasteful atmosphere too - a delight.
