“Lovely cottage, great location”
Reviewed 16 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed here in May 2014 and were very impressed. The cottage is very roomy and the double heigh living room with lots of windows is ideal for catching the expansive views.
The cottage is just above the Three Chimneys restaurant so ideal if you want to eat out (though you must book!). On the same peninsular you can do some great walks we particularly enjoyed Nest point area and Ramasaig.

“A fabulous break in a breathtaking location and a gorgeous holiday home”
Reviewed 2 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

I'm already a huge fan of the Isle of Skye but this trip exceeded all my expectations because of two things: where we stayed and the fantastic weather ! Rhundunan is located at the top of a wee hill and the views out of every window are breathtaking. The house has everything you could possibly need and more. From the beautiful decor and finishing to the little extras like White Company toiletries, DVDs and tourist information. This is the best holiday home we've ever stayed in ! Cosy, immaculate and welcoming.
There is lots and lots to do in the area and we were lucky to have 7 days of blue skies and sunshine. Trips to Coral Beach, Neist Point or Portree are all within an easy drive and there are lots of facilities in nearby Dunvegan including a wonderful restaurant called the Old Schoolhouse. The famous Three Chimneys is a one minute walk from the door of the house but it's much more expensive and they have strict rules on the ages of children allowed in for lunch and dinner. You can walk along the shore line from the house and see seals, and on a clear day you can see over to Harris.
We'll definitely be returning to Rhundunan - fingers crossed the sun will still be shining !

“Stunning House and Location”
Reviewed 17 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

I cannot rate this house highly enough, without doubt the best we have ever stayed at. The attention to detail is fantastic and the property is furnished and finished to the highest standard throughout.

Breathtaking views from the lounge and the garden and a short climb up to the top of the garden at the rear of the house provided an excellent place to fly kites.

Great location for touring and lots to do and see with the world famous 3 Chimneys Restaurant about 100 yards from the property - no problem with drink driving after a great night out!

We have booked again for next year - what more can I say.....

“Talk about a room with a view - completely stunning!”
Reviewed 30 September 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We stayed at this outstanding house mainly because we have always been meaning to eat in the renowned Three Chimneys Restaurant which is literally two minutes walk down the hilll. The meal was lovely but it turned out it was Rhundunan which was the highlight of our trip. The house sits on a hill (you can drive to the door) with the most stunning views from every window over the loch, dotted with islands, looking out to the Outer Hebrides. The weather was mixed when we were there but we didn't mind since the house is so cosy and comfortable - we loved chilling out on the reclining sofa, in front of the fire, watching movies on the big screen TV (there were even DVDs provided).

The house was spotless and the decor was contemporary but also really comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped with a big dining table, dishwasher etc. The bedrooms were really beautiful and we slept like logs upstairs in the comfiest bed we'd ever slept in. Someone else in the Visitor Book said it was like sleeping on a cloud - and it was!

In the evenings, we would go down to the shore and sit on the rocks with a bottle of wine and watch the seals bop about, before either going to the Three Chimneys for dinner, or The Old School House which is a couple of miles away (much cheaper but very nice) or head back for a cosy night in. During the day, we could head straight out and into the Cuillin hills - for yet more fresh air, away from it all, and more top views.

The most relaxing, get-away-from-it-all holiday ever. Views to die for, a perfect house, great places to eat, peace and quiet, and lovely walks to the shore, the hills and everything in between!
