Having read the reviews on here decided to book Kinloch for four nights as part of our trip round the highlands with our two young children.

Booking was very easy, sent an email, got a prompt reply and sent a check away for the deposit. Campsite was very easy to find and upon arrival there was a pitch with ehu as requested with our name on a reserved sign.

Nice grass, sort of flat and more than suitable for our needs.

Site itself is very nice although they do pack a lot of camper vans / caravans in and it does look a little bit like a parking lot at times.

That being said most people seem to be away for the day so it doesn't seem too busy.

The toilet block is either new or has been recently renovated, its in pristine condition and is very modern indeed. There is a large washing up room with five or so sinks, all with hot & cold water, a laundry room with machines at 2. 50 a wash and dryer at 1

Lovely bakery a few minutes walk away, garage in village sells a lot of items and there is small supermarket that sells anything else you may need within reason.

Very impressed overall with the site, two adult and two kids with folding camper and ehu was 22 per night.

There is no play area at all for kids, ours had toys with them and were happy playing on the grass.

We decided to head to the isle of Skye for the weekend to do some hiking and enjoy tasty food. We found this campsite online and without researching much got mentally prepared to put our tent up and enjoy nature (first time campers so we didn't know what to expect) when we got there, we were gladly surprised to see how clean, updated and amazing the facilities were. They offer washers, dryers, irons, hair dryers, free use of ice packs, credit/debit cards accepted, shops near by, family atmosphere. I would totally come back, it almost feels like glamping!

Totally recommended! I think this has been te best campsite on the island and I have seen almost all of them during my trip this year. The view is fantastic. The campsite is clean and welcoming. Shower block just been refurbished with white tiles and so, feels like staying at a good hotel.
The campsite has been in the same spot since the 70's, probably a few things were different then, but still the location on the loch is excellent. The owner and the guy at the reception (Alex?) were fantastic and we had a bit of a chat sometimes.

Stayed on this site twice now and would definitely go back . Facilities are modern and spotless . I have some mobility problems and there is an easy accessible toilet and shower . Plenty of spaces to pitch your tent in either sheltered or open spot . Well worth a visit

We stayed in May this year, and stayed for a 4 nights, Colin put us on a concrete base facing the estuary, it was warm and sunny on our arrival. The next day the north wind, gales started, then the rain. this lasted for 2 days, and we ventured out to the local bakery / cafe, a 10 minutes walk, on the edge of town, very good. Then the sun came out, and Dunvegan took on a totally different light, there are a few shops a museum and post office/general store. A bar in the local hotel which is open to the public.Back onsite Colin was so sorry the weather was so bad, not his fault, he was such a friendly guy, always joking, and said he was there to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible, a great welcome. The sun shone for the next day would definitely recommend this site, take your storm guys though.. The views are stunning ,

Nice campsite to spend your night in! The toilets and showers are spotless! Unfortunately, the wind was blowing pretty hard for us to put our tent up, so we slept in the car. However, there is also a cabin for such situations and you can take your sleeping bags there [we arrived late and we only found out about it in the morning].
