Our friends booked us in this home while we attended their wedding. Absolutely amazing, all the comforts of home, everything you would need for your family including small children. Lots of games and activities provided for the family. All the rooms were so wonderfully furnished. We did wonderful walk across the street to the peak where you can overlook the Loch and spent hours exploring the Church and graveyard where the Macleod Chiefs are buried. The local pub in the Dunvegan hotel was a fantastic time meeting the locals.
You really feel at home in the cottage;)

No.2 was such a lovely house it really did have everything you needed! There was a welcome basket which was such a lovely touch. The front and back gardens are enclosed which was great for the dogs. The house was perfect, it was clean homely, modern and well decorated we couldn't fault anything! The location is great you have the local shop and cafes and the bakery is only a 10 minute walk. The neighbours were all really friendly and made us feel very welcome. I loved Skye and would not hesitate to book No.2 again. Thanks again to our hosts
We loved our stay in Dunvegan, don't be fooled its a long drive to Skye! Once you arrive on the island its almost another hour to travel. But my god is it worth it when you get there. It was like walking into your best friends home. they had thought of everything - all the supplies you could need for your first night - including a "dram" of the local whisky to help the weary traveller. I really didn't expect this in a self catering venue. Great for children too - lots of games, WiFi, Nintendo WI, TV in every room. This is a real home, run by a really lovely couple. We couldn't have asked for kinder more considerate hosts.
Great big roomy house everything there we needed, welcome pack was really thoughtful, clean and tidy , wonderful location - enjoyed the castle and the walk in the woods across the road , saw deer and buzzards ; coming back next year
Great stay in Dunvegan! The house has everything you may possibly need for your stay: kitchen has it all, living room and hall stocked with games, toys, dvds, jigsaws, the bathroom is sparkly and fab - just wait till you take a shower! Dunvegan castle is three quarters of a mile down the road, coral beach a further three/four miles. The Old School House restaurant is a ten minute walk and well worth a visit (book in advance as very popular), Blas sells fish and chips til seven and there's another wee diner further along. The oldest bakery in Skye is in Dunvegan and does gorgeous cakes! Portree is a twenty five min car journey, so all in all, this is a great place to stay!
This cottage was in a prime location in the village of Dunvegan. A 10 minute walk to the castle and gardens and a few minutes walk into the village where there is a few eating places, post office, bakery and grocery shop selling everything you may need.
The cottage itself is beautiful, lovely and warm, with games consoles for the kids and televisions in every room supplied with a large assortment of dvds for the whole family. The kitchen has all you need for your stay, and having a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher makes your stay even easier. The bedrooms are very tastefully decorated and the views from the back bedrooms are beautiful. A lovely stay will be had by all and we fully recommend this cottage.
