“Lovely quiet b&b, perfect for getting away from city life”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

The b&b was in an ideal location for driving around skye, lovely quiet village. The hosts were friendly, giving recommendations for dinner/sightseeing, the rooms very clean, with tv and a mini fridge. Breakfast each day had a good selection from full scottish, veggie and small options. There isn't a bar to drink in but you can go across the road to the hotel or take your own alcohol to the b&b. I think this b&b would benefit from some tables and chairs in the garden for warmer nights to enjoy the views or sun setting. We would come back everytime :)

Room Tip: we choose room 5, away from the other rooms and with a stunning view from the window.

Thank you for staying at The Tables Guest House, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye. Were pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We do have tables and chairs which we do put outside on occasion, the main problem on still nights are the midge which can become very irratating so most guests use the conservatory and avoid been bitten !

The hotel is situated less then hundred meters from the bay and 15 minutes walk from some of the restaurant. There is a hotel beside with a bar open till late.

We stayed here for two nights and found it to be a lovely B&B. fantastic view over the water from our little window and a great bed. The room had everything you could ever want including a little fridge which I have not found in most places in the UK.

Thank you for staying at The Tables Guest House and your comments on the room. The small windows are very traditional in the majority of older buildings on Skye. We thought the fridges would be a nice addition to the rooms as it can get very warm during the summer. If your on Skye again in the future we would be pleased to see you.

My stay at The Tables was perfect. The location is comfortable for travelling in and out of Dunvegan, on the first day I even left my car in the parking and walked 20 minutes to the castle. The room was wonderful and cozy. I had the most gorgeous view from the bedroom window and the bed was the most inviting bed I've ever seen. The whole guest house is designed to perfection with close attention to detail and the hosts are lovely, caring and welcoming. Being vegan, they made sure I got a good breakfast, gave me names of places to go for lunch and dinner, and even gave me vegan food they cooked themselves for dinner (best pie I've ever had!).
I've been in Skye a week now and my two days at The Tables were the best days so far. If you're lucky enough to reach Skye, The Tables is a must.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 5, had ensuite bathroom/shower, fridge, magnificent ocean view and complete privacy...

Ian and Nicky are great hosts -- and the accommodation was excellent. We used The Tables as a home base for traveling in the area. Dunvegan itself is a nice, friendly little town. We enjoyed visiting Coral Beach and exploring the roadway in that direction.

Room Tip: The room on the front of the house has en suite. I don't think all of the others do.

My husband & I stayed at The Tables for a couple of nights recently and were very impressed. Our room was cosy and comfortable. We didn't have an en-suite bathroom, but there was a bathroom very close to our room and for our exclusive use, so no problem there. Everything was clean and well-presented throughout, the food was excellent and our hosts were charming. What more could you want?

I am one of two grandmothers who each took a grandson to Scotland on vacation. We spent two nights in Dunvegan at The Tables and found it charming and perfect for us. Our room had one double bed and three singles, and all were comfortable to sleep on. The owners were lovely and helpful, and the hot breakfast was delicious and very much to our liking. Would we stay there again? You bet! It was peaceful and pretty and the bathroom en suite was convenient and appreciated. The Tables was very clean and well kept.

Room Tip: If you are going in July, be sure to take bug spray to ward off midges. They were the only black ma...
