Had a lovely time in Old Kyle Farm kyleakin, cottage was lovely, cosy and met all our needs. Few wee kind touches from Jo & Nik made it very welcoming, milk, shortbread and wine were lovely. Our dog enjoyed her wee biscuit treat too. Definitely recommend the cottage.
Booked this after a lot of research and it definitely did not disappoint. Greeted with a bottle of wine and shortbread and milk left for us in fridge. Delightful cottage, cosy and comfortable and spectacular views. 2 of us stayed but would easily take 4. Definitely recommended.
Comfortable cottage with nothing lacking...spectacular views from the windows (whatever the weather). Once through the farm gate you feel there is nothing but you and the Isle although back on the other side of the gate is everything that Skye has to offer. It makes it feel very special to have that space to yourself. Had a wonderful time with lots more of Skye to explore 'another time'.
We had a fantastic time in the cottage. Modern appliances and decor and a beautiful place! Recommend to all! We will be back again ❤
tranquil private location easy walk into Kyleakin. Lovely very well appointed cottage dog friendly good parking. A good base from which to explore Skye. We particularly enjoyed the boat trip from Elgol to Loch Coruisk wonderful dramatic scenery also trip to Neist Point lighthouse was a highlight.
Hosts Nick and Jo made us feel very welcome and put a lot of thought and effort into making the cottage such a lovely place to stay
Spotlessly clean and lovely host communication from Nick & Jo. Dog friendly.
Beautifully designed accommodation - with a bit of an East London / Sandi vibe.
Liked the quality of much of the fit out and the view from the kitchen / dining area. Outside deck area was sweet too but sadly the weather didn't allow...
Disliked: pre-fab feel to some of accommodation / low headroom height in kitchen. Shower curtain - yuck. Quality of towels and beds could have been higher.
We spent three nights at the Old Kyle Farm cottage and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The cottage was a historic building that was fully renovated and filled with modern conveniences. The kitchen/dining room had an amazing panoramic view over Kyleakin and the surrounding area. Being at the end of a road, the location is extremely quiet and private but still had easy access to nearby towns and restaurants. Nick and his wife Jo were very welcoming and made sure we had the most pleasant of stays in their unique and memorable location. We would highly recommend this cottage for anyone traveling to Isle of Skye and looking for some special memories.
