Fabulous view from front of hotel across Skye Bridge. On arrival hotel looked tired and drab. In the bedroom the curtains were dirty and damp. Windows were running with condensation. We chose not to open them as buses were parked outside with engines running at times with smell of diesel fumes.
The shower was over the bath and the pressure was hopeless. Condensation all over the bathroom and mould on the window wall. The bathroom floor was permanently wet and not fit to walk on without shoes.
There was a hole in the plasterboard by the door and no wardrobe. The rail to hang clothes was by the bathroom and, despite keeping the door shut at all times, our clothes got very damp.
Bed was VERY VERY creaky but slept OK. Food was like school dinners but OK

We stayed at this hotel out of necessity because we booked late and were short on options. Reception was chilly, a far cry from the scottish hospitality to which we'd become accustomed. The foyer is deceptively atmospheric with a warm fireplace, but it couldn't be more different from the rooms. Our room was shabby, worn out, and musty. Breakfast was average. This hotel clearly gets most of the tour buses because of its size, so they clearly don't feel the need to make any effort for their captive clientele.

I paid £100 for a night and a waitress was hoovering during breakfast time... A recepcionist was very unpleasant and gruff. When I asked her for help, she rolled her eyes. I definitely don't recommend this hotel, however its location is quite nice.

Arrived here on a bus tour in pouring rain. Very difficult for bus to park at rear of property. Scramble for luggage and wait for the lift. Rooms are slightly tired, but perfectly accepatble for our purposes. Wi-fi is free, but only works in the reception area. Have to be early to get a seat round the fire. The food was great, breakfast and evening meals and the staff very friendly and accomodating.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a Tour of the Islands, It was a great little hotel and the staff were so friendly. The food was good in the restaurant and the rooms were very comfy. It is a VERY old hotel, dating from the 1600's so obviously its not ultra modern inside. I read a few reviews before we went and I was pleasantly surprised. Its situated in a superb location with the beach in front and a 2 min drive from the Skye road bridge. I would visit again as Skye is a wonderful island. We had a front room and the views were amazing, even a Cruise ship sailing past one evening. A great log fire in the reception is very welcoming too.

Room Tip: Ask for a front facing room. Great views.
