“Perfect island retreat”
Reviewed 23 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This is a beautiful cottage next to a small (working) fishing jetty in a picturesque and peaceful location. Kyleakin is itself very small but there is Kyle of Lochalsh just over the bridge and Portree is about a 45 minute drive through the most stunning and grand scenery on the planet. Take your time to enjoy this!!
The cottage is extremely comfortable and the kitchen is equipt with every untensil known to man. It has a warm and inviting feel and has enough space for any family to spread out and enjoy. There is a well-placed bench just outside the utility room to enjoy a morning cup of tea and toast watching the boats and birds, rain permitting, and a good short walk to Moil Castle to set you up for the day. Make the most of this view, you will miss it once you leave!!
Many thanks to Sue for out stay - it took 16 hours to get to (traffic!!) but well worth the effort. My only recommendation would be stay for more than one week so that you can take your time to explore as well as relax and soak up this incredible atmosphere, but come prepared for rain. It's still enjoyable, not matter what the weather does.
I would love to return and bring my parents next time.

“Very enjoyable stay”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A brilliant weekend in Skye. Moyle cottage is in an ideal setting overlooking the pier and harbour. The cottage was very well equipped with lots of extras and was very comfortable. The wood burning stove was an added attraction, particularly as the weather outside was so cold. A lovely place to stay.

“Good stay”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We had a lovely time at this cottage. It's well located, had a terrific view and all amenities. We were very comfortable there.
We felt that it was lacking in small things that the owner felt were unnecessary to supply for a self catering but we find them quite essential and were disappointed not to find them: dishwasher powder, washing machine powder and soap.
Also, we have had some problems with the hot water, and didn't have enough hot water for evening showers for 5 people.
Rather than that - we really enjoyed our stay at Moyle Cottage and loved Isle of Skye.

“Charming cottage in every way”

Hubby and I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Moyle Cottage. We arrived and the weather was pretty awful, wet and very windy but it was lovely to open the cottage door and feel the cosy warmth that welcomed us.
The cottage is cosy and warm and by no means small, plenty of room and it has everything you need and more.
As well as being well centrally heated it has a fab wood burner too. The bedding and bed were very comfy, we slept very well.
The whole cottage is spotlessly clean and obviously well cared for and looked after.
Lovely garden too so in summer it would be delightful to sit in watching the little harbour activities.
Views of the harbour from the windows are beautiful even in the rain !! We did have sun too!
Castle Moil is a stones throw and is pretty lit up at night.
Plenty of eating places in Kyleakin. The Indian restaurant is good and Harry's Place on the other side of the Harbour is excellent.
Moyle comes highly recommended from us, if you book you most definately won't be disappointed.
