It was pretty difficult arrive at this B&B, but when we got there it was a nice surprice. New, very nice rooms and bathroom, a superb breakfast.. It is just 5 minutes drive from the center of Portree, in a quiet suburb. Fantastic

We stayed at Dunalasdair in May whilst touring Skye. The reception we got, we felt, was a bit odd as we were shown to our room, shown the bathroom and asked to fill out the breakfast form. Not much else was said in terms of greetings or enthousiasm. For us this wasn't like we had experienced at the other B&B's we stayed at. Maybe we caught Christina on an off day. Other than that, the room was nice and clean, the bathroom was huge, new and modern. The breakfast is served at one big family table and was very good. Walking into town took us about 20 -25 minutes.

This B & B is stunning. The house is beautifully decorated. The rooms are lovely with a comfy bed and amazing bathroom and shower. My husband loved the shower so much he took pictures of it so we could put one in our new home! Christina was very accomodating and answered our questions. It is on the outskirts of Portree, but it is a quick drive into the city center. Also be aware that breakfast is family style with only one table. Although, we're not overly chatty, we made some great friends and learned a lot about the UK as a result of this. I highly recommend this place if staying in Portree.

We stayed at this b&b for 5 nights and wished we stayed longer. It is located along the A87 on the outskirts of Portree and is just under a 5 minute drive from the town centre or about 20 minute casual walk. The host is Cristina and she is one the loveliest and most accommodating hosts I've come across. The room and the bathroom was spotlessly clean, possibly better than that of a 5* hotel! Everything was modern yet tastefully done. The toilet has almost everything, including cotton balls which I haven't seen in a 5* hotel. There is complimentary tea and coffee making facility in the bedroom which can be handy late in the evening or early morning before breakfast. The breakfast it self was really good with a variety of choices. There is a lounge but we didn't have an opportunity to use it thanks to the great weather during our stay! I think this place has the best value for money in Portree and will definitely stay at Dunalasdair if we visit Skye again.

Room Tip: Ample parking space. Quiet neighbourhood.

Modern, clean, lovely b&b. Friendly owner. Food excellent. Loved the location, ideal within walking distance of the town centre in Portree but away from the noise of the town centre after a night out. If you are staying in Skye, stay here, it is fabulous!

This B&B is on the outskirts of Portree, £5 taxi to the centre or a 20 mins walk, we took the taxi! The rooms are clean, in excellent condition and the bathroom we had was lovely (with a rain shower head, large enough for 2!). The breakfast was excellent quality, obviously free range eggs , tasty Stornoway black pudding and lovely fresh fruit. At £60 a room B&B you would be hard pressed to find anything better. In our room you could clearly hear when the occupants of the neighbouring room got up at 0630 for their shower, our alarm was set for 0800 so a little annoying, plus the curtains could do with a thicker liner as the sun was very bright early on, probably shouldn't complain about the sun in Skye though! Well worth a stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear, less likely to get the morning sun.

My partner and I stayed at this excellent B&B on the 19th January. The room was immaculate, modern and well appointed. Breakfast was fabulous, tasty and plenty of it. We are frequent visitors to Portree and have often found in the past B&B's a bit hit and miss. Not anymore this is an excellent we "gem" to spend a few nights. Value for money astounding !!
