“Beautiful location, great food”
Reviewed 3 August 2013

we had a lovely dinner here. It was a beautiful evening and the view over the bay at portree was a perfect compliment to the delicious food. My daughter is vegan and the chef kindly prepared a special meal for her which was thoughtful and very tasty. The service is very professional, soft humour and perfectly poised. Highly recommended

“One of a kind”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

Scorrybreac has been open for eight weeks. It's a two person show: one brother in the kitchen, the other dealing with guests. Scorrybreac is personal and professional: intimate without being invasive. Make sure you book. I doubt they can squeeze in more than thirty people. If you want wine, bring your own bottle, and bring cash - cards not accepted.

The food was top class - a cauliflower foam amuse bouche, then a pea and mint gazpacho. For the mains my daughter and I both had duck, then finished things off with a chocolate souffle with basil ice cream. Service was friendly and efficient - my daughter thought our host had movie star good looks, if that helps. Two courses for £25, three for £30. They plan to be open on a seasonal basis until October. I hope they're very successful.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed 30 July 2013 via mobile

Well what can I say but amazing, from the setting to the food all so so nice. I can't recommend the food highly enough. Resturant is small but makes no difference to experience you have there. People there are so nice and happy to see you and chat. The pigeon is just wonderful with the spiced cabbage, but the real gem Is the chocolate and basil pudding, the best I have ever had.
Long may they continue.

“Another of Skye's gems”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

Set in a beautiful location looking out across Portree Bay at almost sea level. Scorrybreac is another of Skye's gems. An cosy place for food of high quality. A relaxed atmosphere, with excellent service. A small menu, which is a good thing, and changes regularly as everything is freshly prepared, with attention to detail on the plate in front of you. All three course were excellent and very tasty, I couldn't fault anything. Congratulations to Calum and his team.
