“Peace, views and birdsong”
Reviewed 29 March 2018 for a stay in March 2018

8 Kildonan is on a lovely elevated position overlooking a sea loch with the misty Outer Hebrides visible on clear days. The house is really cosy and welcoming with the best bit being the wee sun room. It’s an absolute joy sitting there your morning cup of coffee admiring the sea views and enjoying all the wee birds squabbling in the hedges. We’ll be back up again in June!

The cottage was clean and worked for the stay. Compared to other cottages I have rented it was relatively basic. Really needs WIFI - pretty standard for 2018!

“nice place”
Reviewed 26 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

the house is in a very beautifull place and there is really the space to make 6 people live in it. The house was clean, instruction on how to get the palce and use the house clear. To make it really perfect they need two simple things: put some more coocking pan and pots in the kitchen and take a bit more care of the garden where there are some scrap.
The host contact was perfect

“A very comfortable house in a central location to explore Skye”
Reviewed 21 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

A large cottage which has two bathrooms (unusual on Skye) and a very nice sun room for afternoon sun. A fair way from Portree where we went often for meals, drinks and shopping. However the roads are very good and we enjoyed the drives (including the alternative via Dunvegen). The cottage is quite close to many historic sites, spectacular scenic walking paths and great natural beauty. Very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean living and bathroom facilities. Well heated. The only thing missing was a dishwasher - not a problem for us as there were only three of us and we only used the kitchen for breakfast.

“Perfect stay at 8 Kildonan”

We were a group of 6 and had an amazing get away at 8 Kildonan. A welcome pack (including a bottle of wine!! biscuits and some milk ) was a lovely touch on arrival and the cottage supplying other necessities was greatly appreciated! The house was brilliant, it has an amazing view of the Loch which we all would have a coffee to each morning. We were blessed with weather (it didn't rain much) and were mostly away in the day time exploring Skye, and the cottage was always a warm base camp to comeback to. The neighbors were really friendly and we bought eggs from their chickens which were clearly the free-est of range.

I highly recommend the cottage for a week away for any occasion. Thank you so much!

“Lovely Plance”
Reviewed 19 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We really enjoyed our stay.
The property had everything we needed, was clean and spacious and with no stairs was great as our young daughter could run about as much as they liked and not get into any trouble.
There were stunning views from the window and despite the snow outside it was lovely and cosy and warm inside.
Kath was also very helpful with the last minute arrangements.

“Perfect holiday cottage!”
Reviewed 11 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Wonderful location, fabulous sun room, perfect for drinks in the evening, and watching wildlife over loch. Great local inn 2 miles away for good food. Well furnished and spotlessly clean. Ideal for two couples as there are two double rooms and two bathrooms.
