We enjoyed 2 nights at the lovely little b&b. The rooms are small, but we were rarely there, so it wasn't a problem. Breakfasts were delicious and served in a beautiful sunroom. Our hostess was really sweet, and even surprised us one evening by taking our hand-washed laundry out to line dry for us.

Room Tip: They are very energy conscious, so be aware that you must "pull the string" to turn on the power to the shower.

great little place close to the centre of Portree,5mins there (downhill) 10mins back, very quiet location as others have said rooms are on small side but if you are in Skye you should only be showering and sleeping in there.Breakfast quality good and Robina is a lovely host even arranging dry storage for mountain bikes, would stay again, all in all great value at £30 pppn for a twin room

We stayed in a double room for 2 nights. It's a reasonably priced B&B/guest house about 5-10 minutes walk to Portree centre, the land lady Mrs Nicolson was lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast was good, we only had scrambled egg on toast but there were options for porridge, full breakfast, cereal & fruit if you so wished. The house is dated but for the price (32 a night) it doesn't really matter, after all, if you go to Skye to sit in your hotel room it' a sad sad thing. There was a very pleasant visitors lounge if you did want to stay in, but the rooms had TV & freeview anyway. The shower was a little basic, but functional all in all a good guest house.

The b&b is not in the center of Portree, but you can reach it in 10' by foot. The road is very quiet and you can hear no noise from the room.
We enjoyed our time in Portree and the owner of the place was very friendly and kind! One day she also put our washing on the line while we were out, giving it back to us perfectly dry in the evening.
The breakfast is good and the room too, we also had a window in the bathroom, that is very rare!

We stayed two days and found Highfield to be a great location. Walking distance to the town centre without the busy-ness of the main area. Great views and basically across the road from the local highschool, which also contains the local library - aka free internet access! So lots of pluses about this location. Rooms were very nice and clean, bed was sooooooooo comfy. Had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was nicely cooked and plentiful. Portree is a great base to explore Skye from [all roads lead to Portee] and we had a great time.
