“Heart of Skye”
Reviewed 29 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Located 15 minutes south of Portree along a wonderfully rural single track into the historic Breas ... so a GREAT place to explore all of Skye from and a better place to return to after a day of hiking or exploring ...The cottage itself is so much more than the pictures, which were wonderful to start with ... No matter where you looked, gardens, towards the water, the mountains .... picture postcard perfect. And the owner - Stuart - just a great helpful guy ... The cottage was larger than the pictures indicated and so wonderfully comfortable ... You can hear the breezes, you can see so many more stars, and Stuart's garden - are all so wonderful ... The kitchen is well equipped, and the WiFi was more than just adequate (online instructor running a course from the cottage <smile>). Great for one or two couples, or a small family ... Portree has all the amenities, but Kerr cottage (and Stuart) share with you the heart of Skye ...

We have just got back from a splendid week in this beautiful cottage on Skye. `Cosy, comfortable, well equipped, and well presented with care and attention to detail. Beautiful views, great garden and peaceful surroundings. It made our holiday special.

“Very comfortable, homely, dog friendly with lovely garden ..superb outlook”
Reviewed 13 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Only 8 miles from Portree on a lovely country lane, with views of Raasay and the mountains to the south . The garden is beautiful but Stuart was happy for our dog to roam free in it. The house is comfortable and well equipped feeling like a real home .
Stuart was easily available if we needed help We would go back if we returned to Skye

“Idealistic”
Reviewed 5 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Kerr Cottage is a fabulous place to stay allowing easy access to explore Skye.
The cottage was clean and comfortable with all amenities required.
Fabulous views from the cottage looking out over the well maintained garden which was safe and secure for our dog.
We certainly hope to return one day.

“A clean and well equipped cottage, full of character, in a beautiful location.”

Kerr Cottage is a little way out of Portree, along a quiet coastal road. It is set in a beautiful spot, overlooking the sea and the Isle of Raasay. We experienced a warm friendly welcome from the owner on our arrival and had all we needed in the cottage. The cottage is a charming place to stay, full of character, spacious and light. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children and it suited us perfectly. The delightful garden is also very well kept. It was useful being fairly near to Portree and its facilities. It was our first trip to Skye and we were taken by the varied natural beauty of the island and enjoyed walks along the coast and in the mountains.

“Paradise, the perfect retreat after days of walking and sightseeing”
Reviewed 22 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Beautiful property and garden, we had a young(ish) child and three dogs with us and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The cottage has everything you could possibly think of, including games for wet days! Wi-fi worked great for keeping an eye on our business messages. A very warm welcome, highly recommend - thank you Stuart.

“relaxing, comfortable base on the beautiful isle of Skye”
Reviewed 16 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Dog friendly cottage. Two good sized bedrooms with outstanding views from your bed. Garden beautifully maintained with lots of wildlife. Not luxurious but a friendly, warm base to return to on a daily basis. Internet slow to zero, but that was a blessing!
