“Fantastic house and location”
Reviewed 30 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We stayed at Cuan Beag July 2017, and enjoyed the well equipped house with this great view and location. The house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We used it as a base for hiking trips on Skye, which is a fantastic area for doing exactly that.
Cuan Beag is a place you want to return to.

“Fabulous but flawed”
Reviewed 4 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

This is a tricky one, the cottage is lovely, well appointed and a superb view. It deserves a five star!! You can tell there's a but!

Skye is very limited for mobile coverage and thus you have to rely on the wifi! So I suspect this is something that frustrates the owners, but I am convinced that in 2017 something could be done!!

One might say that it is good to not have very good wifi, but I imagine that most people who rent this property do require a decent connection.

So, I am afraid I have had to give a 3, as I do think this is something the owners should do more to solve

Otherwise a five

Thank you for your TripAdvisor review Peter. You are correct that both poor mobile reception and poor broadband speeds do frustrate us and many other people living on Skye! After taking advice and In an attempt to improve things last year we had a new line installed at Cuan Beag, but we are still waiting for BT Openreach to bring Fibre to the Cabinet which should improve speeds. We are hoping that this will happen very soon, but the timing is out of our hands.

“Magical place for a relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 29 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

This was our second visit to Cuan Beag and it was superb.
The setting is magical and when you walk into the house your eyes are drawn to the magnificent view from the huge windows.
The house itself is pure comfort and luxury. Apart from being spotless every need is taken care of to ensure your visit is a happy one.
We enjoyed a superb seafood platter at The Claymore restaurant in Broadford. It's a drive away but well worth it.
Another place we visited was The Deli Gasto in Broadford. Lovely setting by the river and great coffee (and cakes )
I had a crayfish and mango sandwich. It was delicious.
All lin all we had a fabulous time in Skye and would highly recommend Cuan Beag as the place to stay.
Thank you Jenny and Dave. Your property is superb.
