“Good Takeaway Service”

This will be our fourth visit and we enjoy the views, pleasant staff, it's now licensed and they even have a takeaway service. Try the Kilmartin Burger, excellent value!

“This is in Staffin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2013

The address says Portree but the restaurant is in the Staffin Community Hall. Wonderful views, food and crafts found here. Come on Trip Advisor sort out the location problem and put the Kilmartin back on the map with right location!

“Excellent food, Friendly staff. A must visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2013

Restaurant very busy when we arrived, didn't affect the friendly service by all the staff. Smoked salmon salad was fantastic by any standard. Homemade coleslaw a winner but the surprising star of our lunch was the honey and mustard salad dressing. Thinking of returning for it alone. Home baking was lovely. Cannot fault it would recommend to anyone

“Don't write off this place based on appearances”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2013

The restaurant is connected to a small general store. It appears very plain and unassuming. The food is fabulous, though and should not be missed. I tasted the best haggis that I have ever eaten here. A MUST if you visit Skye.

“Excdeptionally friendly restaurant with stunning views.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2013

Ate here 3 times whilst holidaying in the area. The restaurant forms part of the Staffin Community Centre and has large windows giving stunning views across the coast and out to the Outer Hebrides. The service is exceptionally friendly with all the staff very chatty and helpful. The menu is not extensive as all the food is cooked on the premises. The food is good quality, simple fare with a Scottish emphasis - the smoked mackerel paté is outstandingly good. A good variety of drinks is available including 3 offerings from the Isle of Skye brewery and, unusually, Swedish pear cider. The atmospher is as good as it can be in a rather barn-like room not originally conceived as a restaurant. The only negative comment is that credt cards are not accepted, only debit cards. In this day and age that is a significant shortcoming. Either add a surcharge for cards or even put all the meal prices up by 50p (or whatever) to cover the cost.
