We rented the cottage for 7 days at the end of November 2017.
It is located on a beach in a rural location 10 miles or so from Portree - the capital of Skye. The location is spectacular and the views from the full length lounge/ kitchen diner windows unbelievable. We had visits from sea otters nearly every day. It is a long way to civilization but that is never a bad thing.
The property is well appointed and well laid out. The furnishings are comfortable and well laid out. There are 2 en-suite bathrooms situated either side of a spacious lounge/ kitchen diner. The property is single storey and bigger than it looks in the photos - perfect for 2 couples.
Watch out for the weather though - changeable doesn't cover it!!!
Overall a fantastic experience - we will be back.
Stunning setting with views of a private cove and overlooking Oronsay Island. Every morning we wake to see seals lounging on the opposite island and also saw an otter over breakfast. Every evening whilst having dinner a seal came into the cove. The cottage is surrounded by sheep and cows and little else. So peaceful. Everything in the cottage is perfect. Simply idyllic
What can I say that hasn't already been said? The quiet location by it's own little cove is superb. Uninterrupted views to The Cuillins in the South, MacLeod's Tables to the North & out past Wiay Island, Oronsay & Ullinish peninsulas to the northern tip of Canna. Great wildlife on your doorstep, lovely walks, sunrises over the Cuillins, sunsets over the 3 chimneys. Well equipped cottage, comfortable beds, showers temperamental as mentioned by others but ample hot water for baths all round. Will definitely return.
We stayed here during the Christmas of 2016 and through to the New Year of 2017.
The young family with two kids had such an amazing time and the view from the cottage was SPECTACULAR!!!!!, you would not ask anything more, The cottage itself is CLEAN and well looked after. We will be back.
We hope you can visit at a time of alternating sun, shadow, wind and rain. You will never forget the drama.
In tempestuous moments the white caps seem to
extend in continuous lines South to Mull often in contrast to a dark, cyan sea
As the sheep and highland cattle battle the demanding conditions you may be inclined to contemplate the fortitude of the early Scots and Picts.
The plan of Craggan ban made it easy for us to share it with our grown children and our 18 month grand-daughter. The kitchen separates two wings just as pictured in TripAdvisor. In fact, we misplaced our directions to the house but drove directly there by recognizing its symmetry on the shore.
All utensils and bedding are in place and both sleeping areas are commodious.
The owner/manager is most accommodating.
We were loathe to leave.

A fantastic cottage which some days we didn't want to leave and stayed in to enjoyed the perfect views .
This cottage is highly recommended. YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED .
A quiet shiny gem. Water, the glorious blue seas, lap the shore you gaze on in this peaceful gentle place. A sea otter visited us here. Everything you need for restful tranquillity. Skye is the best kept secret holiday destination, and this home makes you cherish every minute on the Isle.
