“Great scenery”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

My husband and I stayed at The Uig Hotel last week while visiting Brian's daughter who has moved to Skye.
The owners, Billy and Ann, could not do enough for us and the room was a good size. Although a little chilly at first we had the use of a fan heater which soon heated the room and ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was brilliant and after tasting the Haggis I ordered a full one for me to take home, my first taste of Haggis was in January 1998 on honeymoon and I always buy a good one when we get them. The view out of the dining room was of the pier at Uig and the views were brilliant and my camera clicked away. It was really so good that I would certainly recommend it to anyone going to Skye.
When we left last Friday we had already decided to go again as soon as we could. We had stopped overnight in Crianlarich as we were driving from north Wales and stayed again on the way home.

Superb food - both for dinner and also a very substantial traditional breakfast, real ale, good value accommodation, cracking location, attentive and engaging hosts - what's not to like? Almost made it worthwhile having the ferry cancelled, so I could stay there!

Room Tip: If you get a room that faces the road and looks out over the bay, the view is superb.

Had a great time, good hotel, good food and very friendly and helpful staff. Good for dog owners too. Many thanks from David, Angela and Kara (our husky). Hopefully we will get to visit again. Thanks to Billy & Anne and all your staff.

Room Tip: Room 4 gets limited wifi if you sit back on the bed, lol. Good view too as it faces onto the bay.

We've been there with group of 6 adults and 3 kids and it was amazing experience!
Food was delicious. Billy and Other lady (Apology but I forgot her name) were very friendly/helpful and we felt like we were at home. I’ll definitely recommend! And probably we will come back

We recently stayed at the Uig hotel for 3 nights. Anne and Billy made us feel really welcome and literally went the extra mile for us.
The room was great, the food was delicious. Excellent local knowledge and more accommodating than anywhere I've stayed. A massive thank you for a wonderful weekend. Hope to come again.

I recently stayed at the Uig Hotel on business and was well looked after. The hotel is stylish, in a great location overlooking the bay where you catch the ferry from Skye to the Outer Hebrides. It's comfortable, set in well kept grounds and has a fine selection of malts, with first class food - I recommend the venison. The staff are relaxed and friendly, the room was clean, warm and well appointed. I'll be going back again, certainly.

Room Tip: Both Anne and Billy are very friendly, just ask.

Well this hotel exceeds the 3* status. Firstly, the owners Bill and Anne, were very welcoming and hospitable with nothing being too much trouble. They helped us plan our two days of "adventures" which was just fantastic. Secondly, the hotel, what a fabulous setting with our room overlooking the bay - the room was very comfortable and the bed very cosy! The hotel food was to a very high standard and delicious. The chef was more than accommodating to any special requirements. All in all our stay will be very memorable with special thanks to all the staff at the hotel.
