Don't use the post code to get here using SatNav. It's in woodland surrounded by housing so make sure you have the address to hand. Once here you get a warm welcome. I went for the recommended home-made steak pie in the cosy bar and it was great. A good night's sleep and up early for a run - despite the proximity to housing you can get a fair way alongside a river/stream and on to a parkland area. Substantial breakfast and off to work. As this was a business trip, I didn't have time to work out if it's close enough to be used as a base for visiting Edinburgh. Slight negative is that the bathroom could do with some sort of heating.
