We (5 adults) stayed in the tower portion of the castle. It was a great self catering place to stay (emphasis on self catering). Close to many historic sites and rail station. It is in a quiet rural setting. It would be great for families with children. There are plenty is plenty of room inside and out for family gatherings and playtime. The tower is not suitable for someone with physical limitations due to the winding stair case. The garden and grounds were delightful to enjoy coffee in the morning or a relaxing evening stroll. The kitchen could use a little upgrade but it is well stocked with every and anything one would need to cook for a small or large group. The tapestries were beautiful and the paintings (both by the owner) were incredible! The history and stories about the castle are wonderful especially when told by the owners. The tower is cozy with great views of the area. It was an authenic castle experience! We loved it!
