“Excellent cottage and location”
Reviewed 18 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aberlour Cottage. Nice and complete accommodation, very clean and superb location. Served well as base camp for walks in the North East Cairngorms, Glenlivet Estate and Speyside, as well as visits to Speyside distilleries. The owner is a real Whisky man and treated us to a much appreciated private tasting session. To be recommended.

“Hidden Gem in Speyside”
Reviewed 25 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I traveled to Speyside with a friend and his wife in June. They had booked at Bluefolds and we stayed in the Arberlour cottage. It is located in the hills of Glenlivet. We arrived at night so did not see the full surroundings. In the morning we were amazed at the scenery around the cottage. It is located in the middle of a sheep pasture (a new experience for me). The cottage has all the amenities, including satellite television and wifi. The only downside is that there is no cel coverage (although this may be an upside as well). It was very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We met with Steve, one of the proprietors, and he was a wealth of information on the local whiskey scene, and provided great recommendations on restaurants and local distilleries to see. I would gladly go back and stay at Bluefolds again.

“Lovely cottage, amazing views!”
Reviewed 17 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed two nights and were sorry to leave. This is a beautiful setting, hard to describe without showing pictures, but an amazing experience. The cottage is close to famous distilleries, quaint towns, and winding roads through hills and sheep country. Steve was fantastic, a very gracious host who gave us lots of tips about places to see, where to eat, and things to do, and who is obviously very experienced at making guests feel at home and comfortable.

Wonderful trip, loved the cottage and the area...I would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be back. Thanks so much!

“Stunning views from a lovely cottage.”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I would say this was overall one of the most lovely cottages I've stayed in. Compact (for 4 people and 3 dogs) but clean and comfortable with amazing views and walks . Plenty of wildlife and ever changing landscapes from the patio window. Great host, very accommodating helpful and friendly . The dogs loved the freedom of the moors and fields and the cosy log burner . We loved the peace and quiet of the location. Great base to tour the Highlands. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your excellent review. Delighted that you all enjoyed the cottage and the views. People often tell us that no photograph can do the view justice! As the cottage is compact, we normally recommend only 1 dog in it, but we are glad that you all enjoyed your holiday. Our larger cottages are ideal for families with 2 or more dogs.

HI Jacqueline,

We are really happy that you enjoyed the setting and the views of the cottage, as you said Aberlour cottage is for small families, maximum 4/5 persons and it is situated in a converted farm steading as part of three cottages, with Dronach and Glenlivet cottages which increase in size respectively.

We are pleased that you found our knowledge of the area and you enjoyed the suggestions we made about things to do. we would gladly welcome you and your two sons back to explore more of the wonderful surroundings and things to do.
