“A regular gathering place.”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Simple fresh cafe food. A good stopping point on journey along Loch Fyne. Can be a bit chilly if you get there early.

“Just passable lunch”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

The Oyster Bar was fully booked so we went into this cafe which is in the same complex but not anywhere near the same standard. We had soup which was only just hot enough, a bacon roll which was quite good and a 'toastie roll' with cheese and onion which was exactly as described, arrived burned (to be fair the waitress asked if I minded and I said no but only to hurry things up as the cafe was freezing and I had left my coat in the car) and without any garnish whatsoever. The cup of tea was fine and the home baking looked good but really this was very average food and reminded me of Scottish fayre circa 1970. Disappointing.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

Was in the café today, both myself and my companion had filter coffee and the almond cake. The coffee was ok, but the almond cake was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

“Good for coffee and cake”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

Sometimes when you read a review you wonder if it the same place you are at.,The service was good and very pleasant and the staff could not be anymore helpful, We got the coffee and cake offer for £3.50 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Chocolate cake was to die for. The cafe was clean and tidy and the garden center attached and the staff were also very friendly and had a great choice of plants. Makes a change when staff have time to talk to you. Would recommed a visit.
