Me and my girlfriend stayed for one night at the bunkhouse in April, and I can honestly say it was one of the most friendly, scenic, clean and well provided places I've ever stayed. We were met with a warm welcome at the farm (despite it being the middle of a busy lambing season) and unexpectedly given cheddar, biscuits and fruit as soon as we got through the door. The dormitory was all brand new, clean and spacious (a bit of a step above bunkhouse accommodation to be honest), as was the kitchen/dining room. Though we actually ended up in the double en-suite room for the normal bunkhouse price (£20pppn). I suppose the one setback was the lack of an oven in the kitchen, but it was fully stocked otherwise - mircowave, kettle, cutlery, plates etc. This however led us to accept the owners' (sorry I forget their names) offer of a 3 course dinner for £15 each, which was fantastic - smoked salmon, roast lamb (their own) and home made meringue!
The farm itself is in lovely surroundings, and it was made clear we could wander anywhere we liked. The owner insisted his young son show us round the lambing shed and meet a few new arrivals (we did our best not to think about dinner). The glen in general was great for walking, and we walked over from Torrisdale on a section of the Kintyre way, which passes right by the farm. This was on the owners' advice, who had a limitless supply of suggestions for what to there and in Kintyre in general.
A great place, I really wish we'd stayed longer.
