“What we had hoped for and much more - beautiful house, stunning views”
Reviewed 22 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Great accommodation for staying with extended Family. Comfortably sleeps ten however this is with four sharing one room which may be problematic for some. One of the best situations in the small rural village of Carradale with easy access to the two hotels, golf course, beach and local shop. Views from the property are stunning. We were blessed with good weather for all but one day however this is the type of house you could enjoy on a dreich day. Watching the water and the changing skies over to Arran, sitting by the log burner playing monopoly or playing pool or darts made it quite a packed day. There is enough space for people to go and watch TV or have a quiet space. Thank you Ruth for letting us rent your lovely property - we hope to visit again sometime in the future.

Liked best: House and views
Liked least: Although the downstairs loo has a blind you can see through it - as it's at the main door and people were coming and going this could be a bit awkward. Also very small point but would have appreciated some seating in the bedrooms - not essential

What a fantastic week spent in Carradale with all the family at the most stunning house! Every room is gorgeous. The log fire was perfect for relaxing next to with a glass of wine and the views are breathtaking!
Fab tv room with Netflix for the kids although wasn't used as much as the garden was for playing in!
Such a friendly area with stunning scenery and so many things nearby to explore. Definitely recommend a trip to Carradale bay...just beautiful in the sunshine! Can't wait to come back again loved it!!

“Fantastic holiday - beautiful house”
Reviewed 5 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Shorehills and can't recommend it highly enough. The house is beautiful in a perfect location with breathtaking views. All areas of the house are first class - immaculately clean. Modern and fresh throughout with all the amenities you could need. Lovely spacious open plan kitchen dining area - large living room and a TV room with Netflix. Everwhere is flooded with light from large windows framing stunning scenery. There were 10 of us - plenty of room for everyone.
Carradale is the perfect place for holidaying with family and friends - a couple of nice restaurants in the village - beautiful sandy beach which you drive right onto so perfect for loading the car up with everything you need for a day in the beach. Lots of beautiful walks - spotting wildlife such as deer and seals.
Watch for the fishing boats coming in from the house - and nip down to the harbour to buy some of the catch. We had a beautiful meal of langoustine freshly landed that morning.
All in all a truly memorable holiday. Can't wait to go back - we have already booked for next year!
