Just a short walk from Craighouse and Keils, and with a gorgeous view over the bay, the house has everything a family needs for a cosy stay on Jura. We'd definitely visit again.
This is a lovely house next to the beach. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and fantastic views out too see. The house is homely and clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of fuel for the fire and extra heaters for cold Scottish evenings. We had excellent instructions from the owner before getting there.
Jura is a wonderful island with many wildlife and wildflower spectacles even if you can't get off the beaten track much! We saw otters from the front window of the house, plenty of seals and other sea birds. There was a plethora of wildflowers as spring erupted while we were there. The cottage faces the sea and there was a wonderful view (apart from the caravan on the left of view which always ruined any pictures from there!). Lovely cottage with all amenities you could need.
What a beautiful place - perfect in every way .Booked for a week but unfortunately had to cut short due to ill health at home - but can't wait to return . Relaxed more in 2 days than usually do in 2 weeks !
What a lovely week we enjoyed at this lovely cosy little cottage. Total peace and quiet in a property right next to the beach with amazing views and wildlife. The cottage is amazingly well equipped including a great collection of dvds and books for when it's wet. It's spotlessly clean with everything one could possibly need. There's a local shop and distilery, Pub and bistro all within walking distance, serving lovely food. It's dog friendly and brillant for dog walking by the beach. All the Islanders we met were friendly and helpful. The walking, scenery and wildlife are just spectacular, making Jura well worth a visit. Thank you Annie for all your help and information. We loved Island View!
