I have been staying at the Holly Tree Hotel for some 16 years and it continues to improve despite it's expansion.
This hotel does not do as many hotels in Scotland do - there are no extras! No extra charges for a room with a view, no menu extras on a DB7B basis - it's all included. They also remember previous clients and their quirks. Then there is the staff - there may be no obvious management presence but the entire staff are aligned to making clients special - their attention to detail is to be admired and their efficiency and hard work is impressive.
Give it ago if you like seafood - it's their specialty BUT the menu also caters for all tastes - to a high quality.
And, the piece de resistence, What a beautiful location - directly on the banks of Loch Linnhe looking out on the Ardnamurchan Hills - a real pleasure!

Room Tip: All rooms have a view over Loch Linnhe - personal preferences at rooms 1, 2 11,,12

We stayed here for 4 days whilst walking in the Glencoe area. The rooms are comfortable and, along with the restaurant, have excellent views over the sea loch. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food good. Be warned, though, the portions are large. An unexpected find and highly recommended.

Will start with the service of the staff, they are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble.

The views from the hotel are amazing, unfortunately it rained till the day we left, so sight seeing was a rather damp affair.

Only downside i could say about the food was it made my trousers very tight by the time we left........the food is superb in every respect...have never ever tasted black pudding and haggis as nice as that before....the seafood combo main meal was as good as you could get anywhere at any top restaurant in the world.

So to sum up the Holly Tree.....would we stay there again........would we recommend it ???

Definatley without a shadow of a doubt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stayed here last June and visited the area again this May - but staying in a different hotel. We loved this hotel and restaurant last time so booked a table. Not disappointed. The food was again excellent (my started of hot smoked trout was the size of a main course, delicious and fantastic value), service first class and the views amazing. Next time we will stay in the hotel - best food in the area. Well done.

Stayed at the hotel for the 2nd time in early May, once again a fantastic visit. The staff are brilliant, always have a smile & pleasant greeting for you. The food is excellent & the views, well what can I say, I could just sit and watch all day, it changes constantly, fabulous. God willing we'll be back again next year, if not sooner!!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 8, which is on the top floor, lovely & quiet, but I would imagine most of the...

What a little gem , got as a last chance, after travelling from the North. Great food, had crab and a beef fillet, excellent. Beautiful sceanery and great comfy rooms. It is surprising how surrounding lift you in an hotel. Will be going back, as it's only 4hrs from Bolton and they take well behaved dogs, he's better behaved than me. Staff spot on. Ginger

Room Tip: Ask for any , your pocket. All good.
