“Wonderful cottage in Kinlochleven”
Reviewed 13 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

The cottage is located in a beautiful village, in the hollow of the mountains. There is a grocery store (Co-Op) in a short walking distance, which is really helpful.

The kitchen is fully equipped. The (very) large bathroom has a good and clean shower. The bedroom is confortable, but the sofa bed was not (may be for a child, but not for an adult). The cottage is very clean. And there is a large carpark.

The check-in and the check-out was easy with a key in a locker at the door.

We didn’t meet Tara (the owner), but we had a great communication with her.

We had a wonderful stay.

“Amazing Location”
Reviewed 14 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Clean, homely, comfortable. Thoughtfully laid out with personal touches from the owner, i.e. fresh flowers, fruit, wine and milk. Excellent amenities just around the corner - pub, co-op and church within walking distance. Beautiful scenery. Already planning our next visit.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed 7 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Great little place, stayed here with my partner and another couple for an event in Fort William. Was bigger than expected from the pictures and was room for all of us, although we were mainly out during the day! Loved the map decorations, especially the 3D one! Was such a lovely touch having milk, biscuits, wine and flowers there when we arrived. There is a co op a stones throw away which is handy, quite a few places to eat but found they closed earlier than we had expected. Would definitely stay here again and do some walking around the area!

“Thoughtfully prepared and comfortable base! ”
Reviewed 8 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

A friend and I needed a base for a weekend of walking in the Mamores but left accommodation to the last minute and couldn't believe my luck when we found Leven Retreat was still available. Compared to B&B the price seemed very good value so although pictures looked nice and the reviews backed it up, I wasn't expecting too much. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the place, it was tidy, clean, nicely decorated and the owner had very thoughtfully supplied it with the basics (tea, coffee, pint of milk, biscuits, bottle of wine, etc). The double bed was prepared as twins as requested and when we thought we had a WiFi access issue, Tara was available late to talk to and was very pleasant (despite, it turns out, our inability to read the code right!). The property is warm and water pressure was fabulous. If I had one wish it would be for a bath in that big bathroom, a long soak after the rigours of the hills would have been very welcome. I highly recommend Leven Retreat to anyone visiting the area and commend Tara for such a nicely prepared property.

“Great short break”
Reviewed 27 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We had a lovely short stay in this convenient and comfortable apartment. The facilities were great, including a well equipped kitchen and a large bathroom with a good shower.
The apartment was very clean and we appreciated the milk, wine and shortbread.
Our only criticism is that one of the mattresses was a bit saggy and the blinds in the bedroom did not block the light. These were minor issues and did not impact on our enjoyment of our stay.
We left a charger behind and it was posted to us, service above and beyond the normal.
We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

Lovely cosy apartment in great location. Walking distance to the Ice Factory. Owner was very accommodating when I requested a booking date change. Apartment has everything you need and the wine and coffee supplied went down a treat. Comfortable bed and good shower.
