As a traveler stopping through on business the inn was ideal. The room was clean spacious and good facilities. The specials board had plenty of choices had homemade fish cakes which were spot on, beer was cold and the landlords were friendly. I had the full breakfast in the morning was just what I needed for the day ahead have said to my travel desk to def book me in again if I have to venture this way again.

Room Tip: I had room 1 twin room was spacious

Visited this inn and we were greeted with friendly staff who showed us to our rooms. The rooms were clean great facilities and family friendly. The food selection was fantastic as was the portion size and they choice for kids was good. Nice selection on ales and a large selection of whiskeys if you like them. We throughly enjoyed our stay, locals very welcoming and will come back again with out a doubt.

Room Tip: Room 3 biggest but all the rest are just as nice kids slept in the spacious twin room plenty of room...

We expected more from this small Inn. In the first place we struggled to find it! The address and directions were unclear and we thought it was within the town. Although we had a private bathroom, it was not en-suite, with the bathroom right at the top of the stairs - a bit uncomfortable. The doors are extremely noisy to open and close, and unfortunately there were guests who had the volume of their TV so loud that we struggle to sleep. (Apparently hard of hearing!). The pub-dinner was good, but the staff could be a bit more friendly. It also seems that the hotel is "pet-friendly" - and this we could smell in the hallway. The room itself was clean and the beds comfortable.

This is a small Inn, several miles outside Lochgilphead. The rooms are small but clean and cosy, although you could believe you are drunk when walking in them as the floors slant in different directions. There is a reasonable TV reception and Wifi. The staff are friendly and there are two bars to choose from. The Menu is limited, but the fresh food served cannot be flauted and realistic prices to match. So even if not staying here, it is well worth a visit for a meal. I for one will be back......

Room Tip: Any room would do..

Travelled to the Horsehoe Inn this weekend with friends and had a blast. Lovely homely, friendly pub with roaring fire. Staff and locals very welcoming. Meals and banter were great. Breakfast was brilliant, just the thing to set you on your way. Thanks to Ian and Roseanne for their hospitallity. Will definately be back.

A lovely little spot for the weary traveller.
The room I was first given was a lovely double room with ensuite. Really nice.
Unfortunately one of the actresses was touring with had a moan about her room, which was a twin single, and the bathroom was next door, only for that room though not shared.
The beds were a bit lumpy, but was ok. Shower in the separate room had a weird plastic tap joiner. It was impossible to get a good balance of temperature, it was boiling or freezing.
We ate dinner in the bar that night. The lamb shank I had was really lovely, enjoyed every bite!
The breakfast was also really good.

Picked Horseshoe from Tripadvisor for short solo walking break (Canal & Kilmartin) as it was half the price of anything else in the area. Good choice, Room had en-suite, tv & tea/coffee on tap. No probs . Price included cereal b/fast, the extra was only if you wanted a cooked full Scottish. (Which I did, spot on!). Evening meals were a bit big ( I was still full from b/fast). Slept like a baby. No frills, I'd book with them again and might take the dog now I know the area a bit better (dogs stay free). Had to go to end of village& lean against something metal to get mobile phone signal, but Inn has free internet. If I was staying longer or was with partner I'd book their flat for a bit more space (you could still go in Inn for b/fast - Yes,I asked)

Room Tip: Location is in very quiet village of Bridgend just off Lochgilphead to Kilmartin Road. (About 3 mile...
