Hi,

A really nice place to stay with super friendly staff and owner who go out of their way to help. The rooms are well done, wifi is good and the bedding is excellent. Showers are fine but need a bit of work but plenty of space.

Top location to go exploring and have adventures. Has a drying room too which is great for paddlers.

Cheers,

Willow

Thank you, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and glad that the drying room was of service. We have now completed our bath room refurbishments all with Mira Event XS Thermostatic Shower and new white wear, plumbing and wall, floor and ceilings redone with great lighting. We are sure if travels bring you back to us that you will be delighted with the changes we have made.

Regards

David

Stayed for 2 nights with friends. Very friendly owners, who helped us with selecting and booking a trip to Mull, Staffa and Iona. Rooms a tad bit small, but they were very clean and had a lot of light giving them a very welcoming look. The hotel has been recently refurbished (I think). It has good wifi signal (free), good food, a very good breakfast spread (including some yummy pancakes with maple syrup!!). The staff is friendly and helpful too. I forgot a tub of ice cream in your fridge in my hurry to leave though :)

Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor, I am so sorry to be so slow at acknowledging. Reviews like this are much appreciated and do assist other travelers when selecting a place to stay.
Our room refurbishment in the way of full bathroom up grades is now complete and offers guests much more comfort when showering.

David

Out of the many appealing aspects of Brander Lodge, the hotel's Drying Room is worth an honourable mention. The manager told us that this feature is not only great for soggy walkers (like we were after a day on the local hills) but is also appreciated by the RNLI who visit the area for training.
The staff were universally friendly and put all at ease, including children. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit and freshly made tasty hot food. While you're eating, you can read the weather forecast or notes about walks in the area - that way, you can decide whether you will likely need the Drying Room later or not...
It's a great value place to stay in a beautiful area.

Booked for a group of eight, and from the first phone call the friendly laid back chat on the phone to book the three nights made me feel that we would be well looked after at Brander Lodge.
This Hotel has a friendly relaxed atmosphere and the staff have a great attitude to make you feel welcome and we were not disappointed.
Our rooms were nice with a comfy bed, we had a modern tv and digital receiver so two remotes to get it going, the water pressure in the shower sometimes went from hot to cold which could catch you out, hope that can be improved in the future.
The dinning room was very nicely set out and breakfast was very good with a great selection to suit taste, we looked forward to it every morning. The dinner menu had a fair selection to chose from and was good value. The lounge bar was very well stocked with many whiskey's and beers and were reasonably priced. This hotel has two stars but I think it deserves more as it is giving such good value.
Many thanks to Dave and team who helped make our Autumn break such an enjoyable event. Well done and good wishes for the future.

From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't be more helpful. The grounds are beautiful, we loved the tree swing. The rooms are a little dated but clean. The food was fantastic and very reasonable. It's a very peaceful place. Would definitely stay there again.

The welcome was warm and genuine, the staff were universally friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. The place could do with a lick of paint in places but it is thoroughly good value for money.

Thank you for taking the tie to review your stay it is much appreciated. I am delighted you found our small team friendly and the food excellent and accommodation good. With winter rapidly approaching we will have some time to do more painting and moderate improvements, so hopefully should you return to us you will experience the changes.

Once again thank you for reviewing in such a positive manner.
