Tregortha Bed & Breakfast
Reviewed 24 May 2014

We visited this area for the first time in May and couldn't have been happier with the welcome at Tregortha. The rooms were lovely and the breakfasts perfect. The weather wasn't good but the owners more than made up for this by making us feel so at home. We also had a great meal in the Bistro restaurant. Would definitely return.

I very much doubt it!!.
Four of us stayed here for a night whilst on a cycle tour and we all voted it the best stay of our holiday.
A very warm welcome, excellent rooms and tremendous breakfast. Not to mention views to die for.
A short walk to the pub at Kames for proper local beer and a quality evening meal - what more could you ask for.

I stayed at Treghortha B&B for two nights in April 2014 with my boyfriend. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay and we were both delighted with our accommodation. The owners were lovely and made us feel so welcome - the breakfast was cooked to perfection. The view is sensational and the location is central yet remote and peaceful. If you are looking for some respite, peace and quiet - this is the place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: We were given a tour of all the rooms and all of them were lovely.

Just had a lovely few days here - Ian & Veronica the new owners made us very welcome. The view from the dining room table is out over the Kyles of Bute. Excellent breakfast, comfortable beds - what more could we ask? My friend and I would recommend it as a good base for a relaxing and enjoyable visit to the Secret Argyle Coast!!

Room Tip: Any of the four bedrooms would prove good

When we stayed at the Tregortha we were pleasantly surprised to find it was almost a home from home. Our bedroom was tastefully decorated, lovely, clean and very comfortable. The Tregortha is very good value for money. Breakfast was very good and I had the nicest 'hash browns' ever. The owners of the Tregortha (Ellen and Ken) were absolutely fantastic, both hosts made us feel very welcome. My husband and I love a weekend break from work, and over the years many places have been disappointing but this is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. Ellen is wonderful, bubbly and a mine of information about the local area. The Tregortha owners offer a very personal touch that is missing in many bed and breakfast establishments. I would definitely go back to visit Tighnabruaich and especially to stay at Tregortha.

What a beautiful bed and breakfast in an idylic setting, owners were so friendly, room was spotless and spacious with amazing sea views. We were very lucky with the weather also as it was a beautiful sunny day.
We stayed one night and wished it was longer, Tighnabruaich is gorgeous and great base to visit Tarbert via the ferry at Portavadie Marina, and Isle of Bute via the ferry at Colintraive. We would defo return and stay at the Tregotha again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1 with sea views from both the room and the bathroom.
