“A lovely B&B in a lovely place”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We were surprised to find new owners when we arrived at Tregortha, but Ian and Veronica offered a warm welcome and a very nice room with a wonderful view out over Tighnabruich to the Kyles of Bute. This area is breathtakingly beautiful.

A short walk to the village made a store, a pub and several choices for meals available.

Breakfast at Tregortha is great. One can make a selection from several choices or even customize a plate. The cooking is outstanding.

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better place to stay in the Tighnabruich area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view.

After cycling from Arran we arrived at Treghortha very tired and soaked. We were given a lovely welcome , shown to a beautiful room and the bikes were locked away in the garage. The owners recommended several locations for our evening meal, the Bistro was closed on aTuesday but the Wellpark Hotel was very friendly and food was good.
Breakfast in Treghortha was excellent, really good choice and served in a lovely conservatory over looking the loch. It certainly fuelled us for the next leg of our journey!
Very relaxed, comfortable and beautiful location. We will definitely stay here again .

We visited this area for the first time in May and couldn't have been happier with the welcome at Tregortha. The rooms were lovely and the breakfasts perfect. The weather wasn't good but the owners more than made up for this by making us feel so at home. We also had a great meal in the Bistro restaurant. Would definitely return.

I very much doubt it!!.
Four of us stayed here for a night whilst on a cycle tour and we all voted it the best stay of our holiday.
A very warm welcome, excellent rooms and tremendous breakfast. Not to mention views to die for.
A short walk to the pub at Kames for proper local beer and a quality evening meal - what more could you ask for.

I stayed at Treghortha B&B for two nights in April 2014 with my boyfriend. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay and we were both delighted with our accommodation. The owners were lovely and made us feel so welcome - the breakfast was cooked to perfection. The view is sensational and the location is central yet remote and peaceful. If you are looking for some respite, peace and quiet - this is the place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: We were given a tour of all the rooms and all of them were lovely.

Just had a lovely few days here - Ian & Veronica the new owners made us very welcome. The view from the dining room table is out over the Kyles of Bute. Excellent breakfast, comfortable beds - what more could we ask? My friend and I would recommend it as a good base for a relaxing and enjoyable visit to the Secret Argyle Coast!!

Room Tip: Any of the four bedrooms would prove good
