“Beautiful food, awesome views, lovely people, great setup”
Reviewed 31 July 2011

Lovely cafe restuarant in a perfect out of town setting. The cakes and icecream were beautiful. Great location to pop in for lunch or afternoon cake and coffee while enjoying the scenic sights of the Scottish West coast. There are activities for the kids and a garden to go wondering in, including bird watching hut.

“Lovely setting, gorgeous food, cosy atmosphere.”
Reviewed 16 June 2011

I think the best cake in Argyll is to be found here.... And I've eaten a lot of casein Argyll! We heard of kids playing in the gardens here but when we arrived it was raining so everyone was inside and it was lovely anyway. It's a conversion of a barn with several rooms including the main glass conservatory type room. It was busy when we arrived- despite only being open about a year we've heard it's got quite a following. I had a scone which was delicious. My friend had chocolate which I couldn't resist tasting and that was gorgeous too. Her husband had the ploughmans and said it was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and it really made our afternoon on a miserable day.

“The Barn Millcroft nr Tighnabruaich”
Reviewed 15 April 2011

We visited The Barn at Millcroft nr Tighnabruaich for a coffee. So sorry we did not find it before the end of our holiday. It is such an unusual place with lots of nooks and crannies. The service was very friendly and the home baking delicious, the best lemon drizzle cake that I have tasted. Will go back to sample their lunch menu next time.
