We enjoyed our stay at the guest wing which is behind a large house to the right from the pier, around the bay. It's a smart 15 minute walk to the town centre alongside the shore line.
Carolynn, our host, was a cheerful friendly lady. She had supplied us with tea, coffee and milk which was welcome on our arrival. The house was very clean and the beds were fresh and very comfortable. There is one bedroom downstairs and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one double ensuite, one with two single beds and the third had large bunk beds.
We had a very enjoyable stay.
Group of 6 ladies spent 4 days in the Guest Wing as part of walking The West Island Way. The accomodation was excellent, very spacious and comfortable with everything you would want. We even managed to watch the deer eating in the back garden.
Hosts were lovely and so welcoming, would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Rothersay.
We stayed Monday to Friday at this fantastic location. House and decor excellent....we were two couples but there is actually accommodation for 8. Fifteen minutes stroll along the prom finds you in Rothesay. Ten yards from the beach with its resident seal...Ron...he has his own Facebook page. Carolyn the owner could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Little touches like milk and tea waiting for you when you arrive was appreciated. We will be back!
went here for a weekend and was totally amazed at the accommodation. This is a great family-friendly place .the rooms were very spaces , and very clean.
you don't need to pack anything other than your self and your clothes !( not even shampoo or conditioner)!
The fresh fruit and milk were a great touch.
your only 5-10 walk to the bar and shops and the ferry port on one side
and a beach and tea room on the other side .
I would highly recommend this accommodation to any one from family so to groups
The First Wing is about a 20 minute walk from the ferry and was very easy to find due to the monkey puzzle trees in front garden. There was plenty of parking on the driveway and it was very easy to access the quiet main road..
We were a group of six 60+ year old women and we were all delighted with the high standard of very comfortable accommodation. Everywhere was immaculate and was furnished to a high standard with lovely bedding and towels. The kitchen was well stocked with very nice dishes and cutlery and could not be faulted. There was milk in the fridge, coffee and tea in containers and fresh flowers, and toiletries in the bathrooms. There is no dishwasher but we managed fine!
The owners were extremely helpful yet unobtrusive. They recommended the Glenburn Hotel which we visited the following day and had one of the best afternoon teas we have had!
This property is extremely good value for the money we paid and we would fully recommend it.
We were 8 women staying together for 4 nights and The Guest Wing suited us down to a tee. The apartment, with 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms is very spacious with plenty of room for us to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as space around the table for us all to eat comfortably together.
Carolynn was very friendly and her son was kind enough to drive one of us into town and back for emergency shopping.
The setting was beautiful with a lovely little back garden. We also made use of the front garden and plenty of chairs were available for us to enjoy the outstanding view. The town is easily walkable and we made use of the friendly local taxis.
Thank you Carolynn & family for such a fantastic stay. Highly recommend.
