The view from the breakfast room alone is worth it, but this was a great base for exploring the area around Loch Lomond. A short drive, or a 2.5 mile overland hike, will take you to Tarbert where you can catch a boat across to Inversnaid and the West Highland Way. We didn't have time to do the walk itself, but are looking forward to it for next time! The only downside of the B&B was that it was very warm -- we couldn't open the window due to midges (which are no fault of the owners, of course).

We only stayed one night but were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. A lovely breakfast in the morning and some excellent tips on walks and restaurants were appreciated. Easy access to the village and The Cobbler mountain located directly behind the B&B.

What a fantastic place to stay and brilliant hosts who couldn't have been more accomodating! We stayed for 5 nights during May 2013 and it was simply a magical place that had views to die for. There are numerous walking trails from right outside and the amount of wildlife and nature was amazing. Being so close to the loch, we could also enjoy quiet walks around the town in the fresh sea air. I can't thank Barbara and Rob enough for their sensational hospitality and delicious breakfast options each morning to start our day! Would recommened Ben Bheula to everyone!

Great location, friendly owners, comfortable room and lounge with WiFi. Nice fire to relax with in the evening. We were hiking and the owners were very knowledgeable of all the local routes. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety. Highly recommend.

Stayed one night on a trip to the far north of Scotland but wish it could have been longer.

Property is approximately a quarter of a mile from the village reached by a lovely walk along a flat path around the Loch. Lots of other walks in the area start at the bottom of the garden.

Room was extremely comfortable, with an ample supply of tea, coffee, chocolate etc.

Breakfast was superb - so much so we didn't eat again until the evening. Great views over the Loch from the breakfast table - when the rain allowed!!

We had an evening meal in the Village Inn (approximately a mile away) on the recommendation of Barbara. Food was first class and very reasonably priced.

Would stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Booked one night and ended up staying three. Rob and Barbara are great hosts with excellent knowledge of local walks, room was spotless and the breakfast offered several tempting options. . Scenery in Winter was amazing, walks to Ben Arthur - The Cobbler - Ben Narnaim and Ben Ime start at the bottom of their garden. Fantastic value, highly recommended.

Meant to write a review after our visit last August but have only just set up a tripadvisor account! We spent three nights here in a very comfortable room and enjoyed the excellent breakfasts, with plenty of choice. There are great loch views from the elevated position, particularly from the breakfast room. The owners are very friendly (without being overpowering) and readily provide advice on local walks of varying difficulty. Arrochar itself is very attractive and has reasonable facilities for a small village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
