This was our 2nd Forest Holiday, my husband and I stayed here with my Stepmother, Dad and 3 year old sister. We also took two dogs.
Cabin: We stayed in a Silver Birch cabin with 2 bedrooms. The accommodation was set across one floor, with one large double with en suite and one (Very) small twin room. The twin was pokey, with very little room to maneuver around the beds.
Everything else in the cabin was great. Bathrooms were to a high standard, brilliant kitchen/diner and a very large living area. The entire back wall of the living area was made from glass, letting in so much light and opening it up to the spectacular views of the loch and surrounding mountains.
The decking area is of a good size, with a BBQ, table and of course Hot Tub. The hot tub was such a luxury. With absolutely no light pollution, it was amazing to sit out in it on a cold night and look at the stars. The tub was a good size as well, seating up to about 10 people if I remember rightly.
Service: Upon arrival, the TV had been set with a personal message with all our names on to welcome us and the scrabble set read "WELCOME". Just little details that made it feel personal.
Youngster: My sister absolutely loved it. She spent hours running around on the beach and "swimming" in the hot tub. There are activities available to children with the forest ranger, but we had already planned activities.
The dogs: They absolutely loved the beach and the water. Back at the cabin they were also free to roam as the decking area was completely secure ( and I have a large standard poodle who likes to see how high she can jump). There are plenty of walks that go straight from site.
All in all: An amazing break for everyone (including the dogs). Staff were lovely - very accommodating. Scenery - breathtaking. Definitely recommended.
