This was our 2nd Forest Holiday, my husband and I stayed here with my Stepmother, Dad and 3 year old sister. We also took two dogs.

Cabin: We stayed in a Silver Birch cabin with 2 bedrooms. The accommodation was set across one floor, with one large double with en suite and one (Very) small twin room. The twin was pokey, with very little room to maneuver around the beds.
Everything else in the cabin was great. Bathrooms were to a high standard, brilliant kitchen/diner and a very large living area. The entire back wall of the living area was made from glass, letting in so much light and opening it up to the spectacular views of the loch and surrounding mountains.
The decking area is of a good size, with a BBQ, table and of course Hot Tub. The hot tub was such a luxury. With absolutely no light pollution, it was amazing to sit out in it on a cold night and look at the stars. The tub was a good size as well, seating up to about 10 people if I remember rightly.

Service: Upon arrival, the TV had been set with a personal message with all our names on to welcome us and the scrabble set read "WELCOME". Just little details that made it feel personal.

Youngster: My sister absolutely loved it. She spent hours running around on the beach and "swimming" in the hot tub. There are activities available to children with the forest ranger, but we had already planned activities.

The dogs: They absolutely loved the beach and the water. Back at the cabin they were also free to roam as the decking area was completely secure ( and I have a large standard poodle who likes to see how high she can jump). There are plenty of walks that go straight from site.

All in all: An amazing break for everyone (including the dogs). Staff were lovely - very accommodating. Scenery - breathtaking. Definitely recommended.

Room Tip: Cabin 11 Silver Birch has an obstructed view of the loch as there is a tree just in the wrong place...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent family break at Argyll. It sounds as if all the members of your party, dogs included, had a lovely time. I am pleased you had good weather which meant clear skies for star gazing too. I hope you will be back to stay with us again in the future.

Me and boyfriend have just returned from a four night stay in a silver birch cabin. We had an amazing stay, cabins are great, really modern and very clean and set in the most amazing place! Breath taking scenery and you're in the middle of it all whilst sipping on champaz in the hot tub. So relaxing! Cabins were well equipped- only downfalls we could comment on were that we thought all cabins should be equipped with towels not just the golden oak cabins. It wasn't too bad for us because we were only there for four nights but for people staying longer that's a lot of towels considering there's no washing machine in the cabin either. The other thing was we thought the hot tub could have been a tiny bit hotter but still were lush and they're serviced every day to make sure everything's running fine! The staff were very friendly and helped us with planning walks etc. We would definitely return again if we got a good enough deal price wise!

This was our 7th Forest Holiday but Argyll is a real jewel in the crown. The views from the site over the loch are amazing, the staff could not have been more helpful or concerned to ensure our holiday was perfect and the cabins as ever were lovely.
I can't recommend Forest Holidays highly enough.

Firstly the location is spectacular with amazing views of Loch Long. The service and friendly welcome we received throughout our stay from general manager Laurent and his team was exceptional. The dog and the kids loved it and we would highly recommend for a family getaway. The Loch Lomond bike trail is a definite for a long, flat ride.

Room Tip: Cabin 10 has the most spectacular views and worth paying the little bit extra for.

We were in different places before and on different types of holidays but for the first time I came back from holidays perfectly happy and relaxed and felt that money spent were good value for money. Forest holidays give you space very much the same like your own house, therefore you feel very secure, like in your own house. At the same time, you're surrounded by nature that you miss in the city you live in. You have your own pesonal view to the loch and the mountains and then the hot tube always ready for you. This combination results in absolutely fantastic holidays - secure, comfortable and relaxing, luxurious and natural = perfect.
We were already planning next break with Argyll forest holidays on the day back from our perfect holidays.

Room Tip: Go for the Golden Oak to have your own personal view to the nature.

This was our first time to this part of Scotland and to a Forest Holiday site. The website pictures are even better in reality. The site is situated by the side of the loch with breathtaking views. We stayed in cabin 28 and our first words when we walked in were wow wow wow! The view was amazing and the spacious 3 bed cabin was flooded in light from the numerous windows. The layout was well thought out, nicely decorated and the furnishings were sturdy. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of plates, cups and cutlery, lots more than the 6 people that the cabin is designed for. The hot tub was a lovely luxury to have on holiday and is what attracted us to Forest Holidays in the first place. It was positioned so that you weren't overlooked too much by other people walking by. We were lucky with the weather so were able to use it most days during our 5 day break. The staff on sight were very nice and happy to help you. Having someone that knows the area is good so that you start exploring the wonderful countryside in the right direction. We would definitely choose Forest Holidays again either returning to Argyll or choosing a different location.

Had an amazing long weekend away with friends. The log cabin (silver birch) was everything you could of asked for. Clean and high quality fixtures and fittings. The hot tub was unbelievable. Sitting at night in the pitch dark surrounded by the stars and the loch on your door step. Nice forest walk for all our dogs too. A town near by if you wanted to do other things. Forest holidays offer a wide range of activities from archery to gorge walking. Definitely a total rest and relaxing holiday for us and we will be back. See you next year :). Bit of advice would be to buy toilet rolls, fairy liquid and dish washer tablets and proper dish clothes. Only thing we thought would be included as it didn't say to bring your own but other than that nothing we could fault. Staff are friendly and helpful if you need them there is always someone about.
