“Our first "Lochs and Glens" break”
Reviewed 23 August 2012

We have just returned home from a 3 night stay, self drive. The hotel is 4 weeks old and there is a bit of work still being done but none of this bothered us. The rooms are lovely but I would have like an easy chair in the room as there was loads of space and a choice of a top sheet and blanket instead of a 4 inch thick quilt.(Far too warm) The bathroom needs a hand towel holder near the sink but maybe they are in the "pipeline". In the double room it was a 4ft 6inch bed which we found very small and I wished we had booked a twin. I can not fault the food and the staff. 10/10. To get to the hotel it is just after the entrance to the Artgarten campsite were you turn left. The hotel emailed us good instructions to get there. There are some lovely walks around the hotel but it is about 2 miles from Arrochar.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

This newly constructed hotel at the top of loch long is another hotel belonging to The Lochs &Glens company.

A top class hotel in every way with nightly entertainment inc. dancing. And what value!

If you have not been on holiday with Lochs & Glens, you dont know what your missing.

Just stayed at the Ardgartan Hotel at the beginning of August when the hotel was newly opened. Driver Dave was fantastic and we were greeted by Ian the Manager and the hotel is really fantastic. The views down loch long are excellent and it truly amazes you I agree with bobkathybear it is on another level. We would like to thank Bev, Lucy, Ian and the Waiting Staff at Ardgartan Hotel for a fantastic stay. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked for next year. We too already knew Ian and Bev from previously staying at Loch Tummel. Food was brilliant waiting staff were brilliant and the staff were all happy and nothing was too much trouble. Well done Ian and Neil for a great hotel. Will be back in June 2013.
Special mention must go to Lucy and Bev for making our stay a memorable. Well done for getting the hotel done on time. I am sure it will look great once the grounds are landscaped. A highly recommended hotel.

Room Tip: If you wish for a loch view then ask for one when booking and if you require bath and shower please...

As a coach driver who regularly visits hotels, I have to say this is probably the best!
All Lochs and Glens hotels are good, but this is on another level! From the moment you drive into the grounds, the amazement just continues. The Building is majestic and the views down Loch Long are magnificent. Once you get in, you realise just how big the hotel is. I knew some of the staff already, Ian, the manager and Bev, so I knew it would be run just like a swiss watch and it was! Food was excellent, served quickly by lovely staff. I like the way all the serving staff line up to greet the guests - a nice touch. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in - next time I'm there I must ask Ian for the manufacturer! All my passengers wish to return. A highly recommended hotel.

Room Tip: Loch side is best, but the view the other way is almost as good!

Just spent a short break with Lochs and Glens Holidays at the Ardgartan Hotel, Arrochar, Scotland. The Coach Journey was about 11 hours with plenty of breaks. Our Driver Dean was fabulous and very knowledgeable. We arrived at the newly built Ardgartan Hotel in the early evening, and were greeted by the Manager Ian and other staff. The Hotel was excellent, spacious and all of the staff were very helpful and pleasant and all of them had a smile on their faces and looked as if they meant it. Special mention to Bev (Mary), Lucy, Ian the Manager and Dean the coach driver, who all made our short stay special. The trips out every day were very good especially the trip to the Isle of Bute. On the ferry back we saw a Nucleur Submarine making its way up the Clyde. Which was quite magical to see. The Hotel is very new and I must admit that even though there were a few workmen around they did not get in the way and you hardly saw them. The view of Loch Long from the Hotel is to die for, stunning. The food at the Hotel was great. A different menu every night, and once again all of the staff were brilliant. Would I go again. Yes I would and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing break. Ian (The Manager) keep up the good work. Many thanks for a lovely break.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are excellent. We had a room facing the Mountains which was great, but half of the...

Can't fault anything. I will return. Hotel and everything in it is top quality and so comfortable. The building is set to give great views up Loch Long. And a very large window in the reception sitting area is the place to sit and relax.
